Reminder that he was in high school when he was tutoring/dating Meguro, and just a few years above her. So everything else aside, calling him a predator/groomer/other buzzwords is factually incorrect.

Just because he isn't an adult doesn't mean he can't be a predator. The definition of a groomer is someone who exploited and misleading someone based on their naive and the general lack of knowledge to exploit someone from them, which fit him perfectly.

Realistically, she'd be rattled by seeing her ex, and MC would realize her first time is something she isn't going to forget, and its not ever going to be with him.

This author will probably skim over or not even address the fact he was a sexual predator, Megura will move on from the ex quickly, and MC will double down on everything being completely fine.

This more than likely is it. He'll get a slight redemption. I kinda see him now changing his ways. I'd rather that than redemption for him. Since there's only like 10-12 chapters left, I think there's possibility there will still be a chunk of drama. 8 chapters IMO. But this series has always been about Meguro's growth and healing. they won't tear her down now.

Even with the age of consent at 13, a lot of prefectures had corruption of minors laws and you had to prove the relationship was romantic by having their parent vouch for you.

I do think you're right that the author will just gloss over it though.

My exact concerns, just like the way he dealt with Henmi's take on sexual relationships and sex friends, and Fujii's whole "incapable of falling in love" deal.
On those two I get that he's trying to paint a wider and unconventional view on relationships without being judgemental, and I can see some validity in them even without fully agreeing. But this one is not the same.
Not only we saw a quite clear example of grooming, but he also twisted her mind. He used his power as an advice-giving figure of reference (older guy, more life experience and a tutor) coupled with Meguro's own frailty of spirit and gentleness against her, to the point she still hasn't fully realized that deep down she does regret going out with many guys who she really wasn't in love like she is with Koga. She thinks she owns those decisions, but really is in denial now that she finally found out what love is.

There is not that many chapters left, after is done with Vol.10 which is just 2 more chapters (not counting extra), there is like 6-7 afterward, and i don't think author gonna fill up the Volume just with drama, 1 or 2 chapters to address this thing, like the usual in this work, if she actually bother with it, but yeah

It's not just you, I realized it a while ago. That I instinctively read all of Meguro's lines as extremely robotic and formal sounding, like she's some upperclass stereotype. I'm not sure if it's just her personality clouding my perception, or if it's actually written this way, but yeah I feel the same.
It applies to the other characters sometimes to an extent, sometimes... but literally all of Meguro's dialogue comes across as this super formal and stiff monotone android speak to me.

All but two island territories, if I remember correctly. I've been involved in several of these discussions and spent too much time looking things up so I'm not going to any longer. In Tokyo I think it was if you were 20+ it was considered corruption of a minor to spend the night together with someone 19- without parental permission but I may be wrong. The national law was 13 but that was a hardline law that required imprisonment with labor.

I don't know how things are now after the national law was changed. There may have been adjustments.

The US has a lot of variation. In some places (a lot of them New England states) it can be as low as 13 with age difference restrictions. There are often also different ages based on positions of authority and for unrestricted (authority doesn't matter).
