Ooooffffff, that was heavy. Trauma , suppressed memory and emotions, her dad being pos , his mom being a pos , all is coming together , id say rather quickly.

Now I'm curious. I don't think there's literally two of them, but this chapter changes some dialogue around that could make that possibility intriguing. The first time Mia and MC met, they didn't recognize each other by sight, but by name. Mia had changed a lot so Han not recognizing her makes sense, but Han didn't seem to have changed much? And she called him the "real Han Taesoo". Innocuous at first, but depending on framing, you could use that line to describe someone you've heard of but never met in person.

Mia was also supposedly adopted, so if she had an actual sister that nobody in her hometown knew about, that would also make sense. Or if it's just DID from trauma. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but have we ever gotten a PoV from Mia thinking about her past history? Did she ever recognize Hayoon directly?

damn that's heavy, Mia stuffed down her old self so well that she may as well be a "different" person. putting herself through all of that only to have the world keep beating her down is horrifying, I hope she can find support in Taesoo and crew

thanks for the chapter!

Thanks for the chapter.
Her perception of him is quite positive, even in a flashback from her perspective. I guess she really just was a bitch on purpose to him in the first few chapter cause she wanted distance?(though that is quite a weird thing to do) And ig the reason for that distance is either because she has suppressed the past or is a different person.
Notably in chapter 4 we learn that she doesnt like coffee anymore and she talks about painful memories she doesnt want to remember so there could be something there

The off Button symbolism feels like a suicide metaphor so maybe she has memory loss from a failed suicide attempt?

Either way, i hope the next chspter clears up more and we dont jzst gloss over it.
