"Damn, don't ever translate it to dollars if it was yens in original! Only idiots do that! So inconvenient!"

Imagine being this much of a cunt to complain about a small change from a free translation. Not to mention you literally just have to add two fucking zeros to get the original yen. You should know this by now. Hardly an inconvenience.

Shindo seems to have the same wraps/bindings on his wrists as the spirit shrine maidens do so I'm guessing there's some sort of connection

@Wolfie_Fenri The shrine god-thing is either the actual rice harvest deity Inari Ookami-sama, which is sometimes depicted as a giant white fox attended by two white foxes, or a giant NOPE!-thing masquerading as Inari. Miko seems to believe - or hope - it to be the former. She is buying abura-age, or fried tofu skins. Japanese seem to believe that foxes (kitsune) like eating abura-age (not tofu specifically). As a result it is used in dishes associated with foxes, such as the kitsune udon. In the context of Inari, because Inari is a god of the rice harvest and has a fox incarnation, it is traditional for Japanese to offer the god rice wrapped in abura-age which look like mini sacks of rice. This offering is called Inarizushi. Miko is probably thinking of making some and bringing them to the shrine.

"Ghosts actually exist, so why do all the exorcists look like obvious scammers!?!"
Kind of an interesting question. It appears this is one of those universes where the ways the rules work if someone doesn't actually have any sort of connections/vision/knowledge of the supernatural then they can't be affected much by spirits beyond some general gloom/energy. A waning of belief/spiritual connection could be argued to be genuinely helpful for humanity, but on the other hand there remain some people with strong vision and some need to still deal with things. So those few practitioners left want to simultaneously help out those who genuinely need it while not actually tipping off the general pop that it's real, because if they look into the void the void will look back at them.

It makes a lot of sense to put on the persona of a shady huckster magician or something like that. Normal people will just write it off/ignore it entirely, and even small amounts of weirdness can be "sleight of hand/tricks" or blend into the obvious weirdness. But those few who know about it will be able to see the truth?

A semi-real sketchy psychic huh..? Still, that fox god is trouble, I wonder how they're gonna appease it.

Maybe 3 meant three days. Three days without fried tofu offering and off with her head... or something.

Honestly, if he's lived for decades while being able to see those things...

I could see why he's gone a bit crazy in the head. In fact, I'm surprised he's not completely and utterly insane.
