some instant glues are non toxic and waterproof, I heard sometimes they are used to immediately close an hemorraging wound during surgery when there is no time to suture and blood is being lost.
of course, it is not ideal to put it on your fingers (Duh) but if it means closing an open wound immediately, toxicity shoudn't be an issue
