Thanks for the uploads! This was a very neat binge.
That's sad, but very true. Nakano would not have been able to come out of her shell if it hadn't been for Mana. At the same time, Mana would not have been able to blossom and let go of Toda. Neither of them would've grown as a person if they didn't meet and accept each other like they did.
Toda's character didn't get a chance to develop as much (for at least 500 chapters), because the story didn't allow him to, but Yashima really didn't get to do much as a main character in the end. Not befriending Nakano would've made no difference for him (the author's favourite character), it's interesting how him being 'perfect' means he's not central to the story and as such the story leaves no impact on him. This in total contrast with their kohai Shimizu, who didn't understand the difference between platonic and romantic love nor had any insight in the consequences of his actions on others, before meeting Nakano.
I hope the author drops some more specials! They left the strong impression they had no idea on where to take the story beyond the confessions, but maybe the three years since gave them some space to think on just that.

This is the most based chapter ever. If humans can only rely on one chromosome pair type to reach out (and not both), our species is over ☠️
