Well, so far I'd say that the manga has been doing better than the novel in making the MC likeable and overall just think it's better written but this is happening a bit too fast? This plot point is something I'd expect to happen a bit later and such but here we are lol.
The editor probably told the mangaka to shorten and simplify the plot, it's also probably cuz this is a low resource adaptation and the editor doesn't want to stretch the resource too much as to not get the axe if it gets too long.

waiting for NTR King to save the heroine

to be honest, from the start, I was always confused as to what NTR actually meant,
I feel like the scope is too wide in some stories,
and now, I don't even know how or what NTR is doing here

On the bright side their portrayal of the police was spot-on. They'd never help a woman being stalked.

(Just to be clear, and so I don't get some dumbass responding to an obvious joke with "durr standard American thinks everything is about them", I'm specifically referring to American cops. I don't know what other countries' police would do, though I suspect it wouldn't be very different in Japan.)
Nah, you're pretty spot on for most countries. Stalking in of itself is usually not a crime and police won't do anything until a 'real' crime has been done. Korea is pretty infamously bad for this since you can actually set up cameras to peer into someone's apartment and it's not actually illegal

She definitely sounds and acts like a hentai character that doesn't know how to act in a normal situation.

Like she was programmed to be subdued by the MC but since he's just a normal person she doesn't know how to act and often crashes.
Wasn't it established earlier that she pretty much was always unconsciously a sub and the MC basically triggered her by accident?

I don't get why people treat WN versions like they're sacrosanct, especially with instances where a LN exists that goes away from the
Where did I say the WN was sacred? The change is just bad and makes zero sense in context of the rest of the story. Not that this is high brow enough fiction for words like sacrosanct anyway lmao

that...that didn't happen in the novel
Huh.. interesting... Imma assume MC decides to check and has an off feeling... or this gonna turn into actual NTR.

It's in the title, but it isn't NTR the genre (unless MC doesn't stop this guy).

Like it is "I Was Reincarnated As The Scumbag From a Netorare Manga, But The Heroine is Coming On To Me"

So yeah.

Yo this totally wasn't in the WN. Doesn't make sense to change this arc since there's another event identical to this later on with different characters.
that's what i'm saying.. i guess this isn't truly an adaptation but its own thing now. Kinda strange, considering how we were going.
So WN readers.

Does this actually go NTR? or does MC always save the day? and does it happen a lot? (cause that would be fkn annoying).

It's a good thing if it's not a copy-paste from the novel, because :
1) We get a different story, more options.
2) maybe we will not get the awful chapters the novel have.

Well then. I have three verdicts.

1. Okaa-san is a lady of good judgement, despite looking thirsty af back then

2. Based Ryuichi. When a lady shows, he looks intently.

3. The NTR positions have switched... in Ryuichi's favor. He's got the physique - and now the green light too. So go. Turn MC into a dick-shaped pretzel before throwing that mouthbreathing little shit out the front door.

Dude, the manga and LN can be changed and people will accept it if it's well done. In this case is a bad one and that's why it makes people mad, why? Because in the original story the childhood friend is not a rapist, mangaka made a drastic change on his personality with this rape attempt to the point it lefts a bad taste and might ruin the story with a poorly made redemption in the future (if this manga goes that far in the story, which I highly doubt and sadly will get axed soon).

In the OG story Childhood friend just thought he had his place secured with her, then when he saw how she moved on with life since he didn't do a move in years and got interested in another man, he became desperate and tried to get even closer to her too fast (to the point he low-key became a stalker) BUT HE NEVER TRIED OR WANTED TO HARM HER, in fact, he was worried our gigolo MC would hurt her in some way and tried to get her away from him to "save" her. Later, he accepts the change after seeing how happy she was and even got himself someone else to be interested in.

The feel when the protag decides not to NTR the girl causing the childhood friend to try to NTR her from the protag. It is the principle of NTR Conservation.

The manga is not based on the web novel, but the light novel and thus the light novel is the original story of the manga.

The changes weren’t made by the mangaka, but the original author.
