I feel like this is a recurring thing in anime/manga and it's so annoying, I feel like it is only there to add more "padding" instead of being something the character did for a good reason.
A great example of this that I can think of is actually from the Shield series (Marvel).

They were notified of a woman from Thor's world had arrived on Earth and that she could charm men easily with magic. What does Shield do? Sends mostly men, who surround the building while they send in their strongest female agent.
What happens? The "villain" escapes through the backdoor where the strongest male agent present is, and of course he gets charmed by her and that's the entire episode dragged out.

Anyway, sure this was "foreshadowed" by her admitting to not being the sharpest tool in the shed, but still...

Very strange dialogue. It's offputting and doesn't blend with previous chapters. Either way I'm not interested in another one of these story arcs with the shitty rapist/slaver/ntr/etc.

Lol strong vibes of Grand Blue vandalism back in late Batoto days except at that time the actual scanlation group wasn't at fault and it was a bunch of dumbasses trying to make them (Helvetica? I don't remember) look like they demand money for whatever reason.

I hope mods won't make the same mistake as the Batoto mod did back then (they keep dodging readers' questions and made themselves look like they didn't even bother to check the release to see if it violated the rules), which only escalated the issue.
