this is a monthly ain't it
I don't need your apologies, I need more chapters!I'm sorry for every mistakes i made in this chapter. Hopefully everything is fixed now. Hope you guys enjoy reading it.
I don't really agree, she doesn't go mad for stupid reasons that don't make sense. That make sense if you understand her personality.I only read WN about the girl part, and I assure you, it's extremely terrible. The author really knows how to create a shit story. After the MC had left her, everything went downhill. she went mad for a stupid reason that doesn't make any sense, and her life is completely ruined.
Except that Tolkien wrote beautifully and with such depth in his worldbuilding that authors would get wet dreams about reaching half his potential. Tolkien was able to catch the attention of people with just the worldbuilding and this manga doesn't, so you essentially proved the point that this manga's first volume sucks and shows how one-dimensional and generic the plot, characters and setting are.The first volume of manga are not only made to hook people, they are here to put the basis of the world building. You cant form an objective opinion by only reading a single chapter that barely contain anything.
Seriously if people stop at the first chapter then most masterpiece of literature would be considered to be bad. For exemple the Lord of the ring has an entire arc that explain how Hobbit live. Just for the world building.
In the past, she was a sweet and hardworking girl with common knowledge and, of course, common sense. Over time, she may have become arrogant, but the sheer stupidity that followed didn't make any sense, and the consequences of it were truly horrible, especially considering the fact that she didn't harm anyone directly. The Queen's reasoning in the trial makes sense considering the very stupid actions she took after the MC left, but if that assassin or whatever hadn't saved her from that horrible prison, I wonder what the Queen would have done. She didn't deserve it.I don't really agree, she doesn't go mad for stupid reasons that don't make sense. That make sense if you understand her personality.
To put it simply, she is a selfish-spoiled brat. She fell hard because of multiples reasons :
- She doesn't know shit about collecting materials, doesn't respect the job and expect perfection from them.
- The next material collector told her that she has unreasonable expectation.
- The adventurers refuse to take her quests because of the danger.
- No collectors are willing to work for her as soon as they saw the ingredients she asks.
- She refuse to admit that Loyd was strong or competent.
- The next material collector praise Loyd for completing her demands.
- Nobody does the job or even try, Loyd was the only one who did it.
- She wants to be seen as perfect, she is too prideful to admit she needs help.
- She refuses all call from the queen
- Break her own house to hide her problem (having a reasonable excuse to not have done the work “sorry my house has exploded I can't work teehee”)
- Escape from the knight to hide more (she believes that once she gets Loyd, she could work again and want to gain some time to not have to explain herself about her current situation).
- She is unprofessional and refused to admit her flaws
- She waits for Loyd to return and takes jobs that she can't do until she is threatened to lose her rank as alchemist.
- She argues and look down on everyone, including people she needs for her work.
- She flees and hide because she refuses to take responsibility for her mistakes. (not completing her jobs)
- When she compares her recipe with her junior, she feels superior to see that her recipe has better result. The junior notice her ingredients are all almost impossible to get. She dismisses it since she has better result.
- In the trial, she completely loses it since she couldn't explain herself and nobody believes her BS.
I think that's the thing, he can gather high quality materials but they end up in bad condition because of his raw magical energyWhy does he have to have insane magic? Why cant he just be good at getting rare materials only? Would be a lot more interesting than this super generic plot.
I think the “sheer stupidity that follow” is a mixes between arrogance, pride, and isolation. After becoming the alchemist number one, she became arrogant and prideful. Because of that, she disconnects from other alchemists because there are below her, making her isolated from her peer in her own field. In the past, she was a sweet and hardworking girl with common knowledge and, of course, common sense. As someone working in a STEM research field, this is why you NEVER dismiss other people's research as irrelevant. Sure, its not specifically useful for you, but sooner or later it all links. And also going to conferences and hanging out by yourself is boring as fuck.I think the “sheer stupidity that follow” is a mixes between arrogance, pride, and isolation. I think that because of the part with the junior. It's her junior, they know each others, but he saw immediately the flaw in her recipe while she only looks at the final result. That's mean, even if they studied together, they didn't share any recipes, so she probably hides her recipe, key of her success. Making her isolated since no one notice the materials' problem.
The rest is just her pride that didn't allow her to take responsibility for her mistake or just admit she needs help. She basically behaves like a child who trash the house, then refuse to go home to not be punished. While in reality, it's worse since the parents will call the police for their missing child.
Nah I wanna see this bitch cryIf this goes the generic "oh wow I actually miss this guy so much how could I have not known his potential for the last 10 years" I'm gonna be disappointed, would rather this be just a story about how he starts his new life again
I see she's supposed to be increasingly unlikeable, or at least that's what it sounds like.Skimming the link for the WN provided, people are more-or-less on the nose on what kind of series this is going to be even w/o having to look.
Even the TL chapter names pretty much tell you the gist of what's going on, w/o having to read anything in detail, that the story will follow the plot of the MC roaming around from place to place, surprising people and being confused about why everyone is praising them, and sprinkled in some small omakes/side stories about whats going on with Ruby/the Alchemist every now and then after the MC left.
Spoiler(s):
She looks for a replacement for the MC, a mage who is more handsome and more capable, etc. Later-on she seemingly gets handcuffed and kidnapped for some reason or another and starts to regret and realize that all of her success was due to the MC, because the MC was capable of getting dangrous materials from "Area Zero" and she took it for granted.
