Yikes. I've encountered some negligent and lazy teachers as I've grown up, ranging from throwing public resources at my class and leaving us to it, to punishing the class for the mistakes of a single individual (effectively promoting the class to bully the person who messed up), but I don't think I've ever met a teacher willing to publicly embarrass a student over accusations from a letter with no discernable source. Also I get that Japan's citizens tend to be very soft-spoken and avoid confrontation like the plague, but why didn't more students stand up for the student that they clearly knew wouldn't have done anything like what she was accused of?
I feel like I've been feeling more of these cultural disconnects lately in manga. Moments where I, and many people I know, would intervene or do something differently compared to what the characters do. Hopefully what happened this chapter (and will likely spend the next couple of chapters getting resolved) won't ruin this manga or become a reoccurring theme in it's conflicts.

Honestly I feel the students are just as bad, when the first letter came in if any of them denied that anyone was bullying the student in question the next letter wouldn't of 'worked'. Obviously they are kids so they can't be at blame.

Also some people saying this is dumb and unrealistic is interesting. I've had a very similar situation happen, but it was a Police officer asking about someone selling drugs. Which turned out to be because my brother was selling to some kid that got caught.

It is a dumb plot point though, but I'll ride it out cause the teacher can just be asking her questions, not actually accusing (cause the teachers only bits of info are the accused and the 'crime')

Japan is a country where families can sue each other for slighting their honor. There is no school in that country that would handle things like this, that is why bullying cases get covered up so much over there.

The good schools would treat these situations as anonymously as possible to avoid conflict with the families and to avoid scandals that would tarnish the school's reputation

There is no school on the planet (Russia maybe?) where a teacher would behave along these lines when faced with a situation like this one. We all know she didn't do it and in a few chapters we'll prove her innocence, even if the real mastermind behind isn't revealed....

What do you think a reasonable parent of a wrongly accused student would do to that school?

Shit like this makes it hard to read on since the scenario is completely unbelievable. If part of her defense turns out to be the handwriting not matching hers, or email address the 'evidence letter' came being someone else's, like the 'bullied' girl - something cursory that anyone with half a brain should have picked up on from the start - then I blame the editor for letting the author submit this shit.
