Welp I hope you are all happy, this was what you where asking all along, for Hanabi meet the worst endings possible and let's not pretend it isn't true because I just found this series and have been reading it today alongside the comments.
I just hope the author can bring this around on a fulfilling way

From what I could gleam from the spoilers posted in the last chapter
The girl who roofied the protag, Nanao is her name I think - is fired from her job
The fuckboy who prostitutes Hanao - the protag beats him up
The mastermind behind both incidents, Hanabi's older sister - she gets threatened to back off
Also from the spoilers, the resolution for everything should come fairly shortly
Its like setting a forest on fire and then using chemical extinguisher to put the fire out, really "amazing writting" there...

We're too focused on the blackmail and continual raping of his childhood friend

Ngl both of these problems would be resolved already if his GF would just talk to him but we gotta drag this out....
Personally, I think anyone who finds out someone is being raped and says nothing to anyone else is a bad person...even if she does end up fessing up to the MC and he resolves it however he does that, that means from the point she learned about it to the point she told him and it gets resolved, there's weeks or months of additional suffering being inflicted, directly caused by her inaction.
If the MC has any brains next chapter he's probably going to tell her what happened to him so she doesn't get fed BS. Probably along the lines of I met her in a family restaurant, drank a drink she got from me and then when I woke up it was the next day and i was naked next to her, I think I was drugged.
I think this is getting overlooked, and even then this is downplaying it.
The FL knows this is happening and doesn't care. We see she encounters her just after and the writer makes it abundantly clear. We then see, in the very next chapter, that she's more concerned with generic rom-com stuff. A better different author might have made the situation more ambiguous and/or the FL more concerned.

😮‍💨

Seriously go and compare the FL's immediate reaction of "please go to the hospital" with her thoughts in the very next chapter. Or in the latest chapter. She's not thinking of the CF, she's thinking of the date they've arranged to go on. The author has made her a terrible person but because of the seeming date-rape of the ML people haven't even processed it.

This manga got so stupid, that I just read it out of pure curiosity of what will happen, even if I spoilered myself by reading spoiler comments.

As a side note, WTF is with mangas like these, where the "good guy" has his wholesome life kinda threatened by attempted rape/stuff, some villains throwing logs under his legs, while the "bad guy" is depicted drowning in pussy. Its like only bad people manage to have sex, heck sex with multiple people, while the good ones fight to just get a damn kiss.

Is this cause author isn't/wasn't popular and isn't/wasn't dicked enough and thus it warped her perception about these things or something?

I know this is modern day but the bare minimum for these actions should be death, or life in prison

I remember reading this a long time ago and saw a reccomendation of this with some crops of this chapter and it feels so weird now how much has changed from what I remember of it. Like it felt like I was looking at another manga and didn't expect it to be going this route.

Man, author could've ruined Hanabi's life in another way if that's what they wanted, but making her become a prostitute because of a weakass blackmail video shows they lack writing skills when it comes to revenge unless the author already planned it from the beginning and they're into that stuff then that would make sense.

This should be documented on how to nuke your story in 4 chapters.

The story went from "I'm happily dating my new girlfriend" to "I just got drugged and s*xually *ssaulted by my coworker, my ex is being s*x trafficked and r*ped and my current gf decide to stay silent for a long time just to see how many d*cks my ex can take before she breaks". Okay we hate Hanabi and yeah maybe you could punish her by putting her into juvy or some shiet, or maybe give her a comeback arc where she tries to become a better person and bearing the wounds of her past, not drag her through literal hell. Sure some people dont give a shiet about Hanabi but then why are u letting the disturbing coworker (drugging mc), and literal upcomming s*x trafficker to just do disgusting stuff and get away with it??

The author must really wanted the story to stand out, even if the story stands out for being the stupidest story ever. I could imagine every mf in this situation to just get a slap on the wrist and story will build up to events that are more stupid/shocking/disturbing. Honestly, I would not be surprised if the ex and her sister got g*ngbanged by their father and father's coworlers later on lol.
The only way back from this is probably something around the line of: surprise, these are just what could have happened, what actually happened is the main character managed to stop them all before it got worse. Also a stupid way to go for the story but I think this route is still a thousand times better than what they are going with now.

I have to leave it here and maybe check back in a few years from now when this story suddenly comes up to my mind to see what will the author pull out of their a*s. I feel like I'm losing my IQ from reading the last few chapters.

P/s: Also, really?, a video of main character peeing himself when he was 5? Is that supposed to be funny and we are switching to comedy genre now? I guess Hanabi never proved to be a logical thinker but I feel like the author is actually just trying to tell me that I'm a f*cking idiot for reading up to this point.

On a meta level, i find it intriguing how despite its trashiness, people are still motivated to continue reading, and got worked up enough to explode the comments thread. I'm curious, what are the common elements between dumpster fire stories that we kept loving to hate (think domekano, kanokari) vs those that we just said "meh" and dropped without so much as a peep into the comments section. Surely there's something (likely perversely) appealing in the former dung heap that still hooks us in to keep us returning to them that the latter lack (so much so that i couldn't even recall any example titles to put into that second category, despite remembering encountering them frequently enough).
It's like the news and how it tries to push shock and awe stories to gain higher ratings.

Working on this needs to get a bit easier. Fed up feeling gross. Hopefully a thimbleful of water will be thrown on the forest fire that is this storyline soon.
I hope both he and psycho woman from last chapter end up in jail but I doubt it with rape or attempted they are very tame with punishment in these type of series. I hope this arc ends soon and we get some clear skies for the main couple ahead.

I also don't get the point of having previous gf raped, yeah she did bad things but not enough to deserve this, author must be fan of healer hero

I stopped reading this when his ex girlfriend was being sex trafficked, and after that it became a habit of mine to check the comment section if there was just a misunderstanding.. some manga do that We call it Bait NTR, but it turns out the bitch really getting raped fuck this shit. I'm glad I I've never read past that chapter
The male lead has also been ruphied and raped, so that's his first time gone and he was to drugged up to remember

So… I was looking at the official release site and noticed that the author puts a little summary at the beginning of the chapters… and something really pissed me off.

In it, the author says that Hanabi is “being forced to do a certain part-time job.” So being raped and sex trafficked is now a “part-time job”? I don’t know if the author is desensitized to this kind of stuff because of what she writes in Fukushuu o Koinegau Saikyou Yuusha wa, but I think she should call it what it is, especially since she decided to take this route with her story.

Here’s the summary and an MTL on it:

Also, since someone told the author on X that she destroyed the story in chapter 46, she deleted the post where she got called out, and she hasn’t promoted the manga on her X since then. Pretty sensitive about it, huh.

Thanks for the chapter!
Well if all u know how to sell a story is drama and repeat rape trauma it's not a good sign. She does seem to downplay it, I wonder if it's a cultural thing

Yeah, when I was told the author is a woman, I tried to look it up to confirm it, but the only sources I found were Western sites. Still, what really makes me think it's true is how she deleted the post on X after being called out. It reminded me of how Egaki deleted posts during the pre-serialization of Cheeky Gyaru Sister. I know it's stereotyping, but I personally haven't come across a male author doing the same thing.

@TenThousandWaspsInACoat

I asked Gemini AI about it:

EDIT: It hallucinated a bit...

Mizuchi Shiki, the author of the original light novel, is generally identified as a man.

While many light novel authors use pen names and keep their personal lives private, there are a few indicators from his career:
  • Public Appearances: He has made limited public appearances and interviews in Japan (such as those related to the Dragonar Academy anime adaptation) where he was identified as male.
  • Writing Style & Themes: In the "afterword" sections of his various light novels, he often uses masculine self-referential language in Japanese (like the pronoun boku), which is common for male authors in the industry.

Quick Breakdown of the Creative Team

Since this series exists in multiple formats, here is the full team:
RolePersonGender
Original AuthorMizuchi ShikiMale
Light Novel IllustratorKagawa IchigoFemale
Manga ArtistNandemoPrivate/Unknown

Holy shit. And I thought "Someone's Girlfriend" was bad.

Btw This is the same person who works on "the dark massacre of the vengeful hero" (goated revenge story btw) and "The Invincible Assassin Mage Journeys with the Final Boss Girl."
I sincerely wish I had the life I wasted reading Someone's Girlfriend back.

Wait, what? The author’s pen name is Ononata Manimani (斧名田 マニマニ).

Bitch ass AI...

Are you sure the author isn't 斧名田 マニマニ

You are absolutely correct, and I sincerely apologize for the error in my previous response. Thank you for catching that.
The author of the light novel series Osananajimi Kanojo no Morahara ga Hidoin de Zetsuen Sengen shite Yatta is indeed Ononata Manimani (斧名田マニマニ). I was clearly misinformed earlier—thank you for the correction!

Regarding the Author's Gender

Like many writers in the Japanese light novel and web novel industry, Ononata Manimani maintains a high level of privacy. There is no official public confirmation of their gender.
  • Privacy: They do not make public appearances or reveal personal details that would confirm their gender.
  • Terminology: In their writing and social media activity, they generally use neutral language or avoid self-referential gendered pronouns altogether, which is a common practice for authors who prefer to let their work speak for itself.
It is quite common in this space for authors to keep their personal identities separate from their professional personas to focus entirely on their storytelling.
Again, I appreciate you holding me to a higher standard of accuracy. Would you like me to look into any other details about this series, such as its serialization history or the illustrator behind the light novel volumes?
