Hero nothing, he's officially their fucking GOD. "You telling me we don't have to drink months old rotgut cut with water, but freshly made booze, still warm from the distillery rickhouse that barreled it?"

Yeah no. Hero nothing. That's deity territory lol.
Makes sense, there’s a religion with a dude who could make wine from water.

Thanks for the translation! I also wish the sea voyage had gotten more attention. The author put so much effort into the equipment they would bring onto the ship that I felt it was missing a proper “demonstration” of them in action. As for Lucy, she really doesn’t seem to fit very well into the story. But since all the other women in the story have a “strong” personality, I think the author thought it would be better to add a more “kawaii” girl to bring more variety.

That's easily resolved with proper education. So long as their teachers are aware of the outside influence, they can correct the children as they teach them.

Remember that the translation magic applies to Zenjirou and Zenjirou alone. If anyone else (or even any*thing* else) uses the foreign words he uses, then they won't hear the translation. And thus, the ability to correct the children by way of education.
No, no, no, the translation magic is worldwide, this is why people from distant countries can still do trade in Capua. It transmits the ideas of your speech to whoever you're talking to, but if they don't have a solid foundation in a language, they may transmit total gibberish. Especially if Zenjirou uses any loan words, that don't actually have a translation in his own language, that could totally screw up his children.

Edit: as an aside, with this plot element the only foreign language you would need to study (that we have seen so far) is the language used to cast magic, but I think it still fits, since as a "dead" language people probably don't have a full understanding of the words they use.

These are clearly Polish names, but they're a bit off from the actual words in Polish. I don't particularly care if you do change it, but if you're interested in how they would be written in Polish:

Złota Wolność (Golden Freedom) is the Polish spelling for the country name and Pomorze (without those fancy letters) is the word that was used for town name (it's an administrative region in Poland, not a normally functional words).
Just came by to say the same.
In the future I guess translators can use map of Poland or Polish dictionary as naming reference. Just not sure how non-polish speakers will like it - it's quite difficult language to read, but I guess maybe they will mange unless author decides to put running joke of a location name like Chrząszczyżewoszyce powiat Łękołody.

I still don't like Lucy. She wants his love but her actions are so fake, and it's clear our king noticed it. I hope author makes her act more genuine otherwise I don't see her succeed

does his teleportation magic not have range limit? if so that is too OP
I thought it was established early on that longer ranges would increase the mana consumption of the spell, and for the spell to be successful you need to both have enough mana and offer the exact correct amount (offering too much or little results in the loss of mana and nothing happening), which would both serve to severely nerf the ability to teleport 'on the fly' rather than from dedicated rooms for it. Maybe I'm misremembering things or this aspect has been dropped (since there's already been talks in the story of him being able to teleport between the North and South continents in the future), but it's been gnawing at me that he was able to accurately judge the distance between this stop point that hadn't been mentioned before and enough mana to cast the teleportation... Maybe this particular island will work as a stop point in the future? But he also brought back a lot of alcohol on his return trip this time which also increases the mana consumption on top of doing a two-way trip so a rest stop for teleportation probably wouldn't be needed...

Chibi Aura is cute. And into a more amusing face.

"I do not mind."
She minds.

Disposing of imprecise tools is unexpectedly responsible of him.

Always thinking of the future.

For five days of not shaving that's... sparse.

"Ever since the start of the journey, we haven't closed any distance between us."
I wouldn't underestimate the shared troubles of a sea voyage. Showing weakness is something that can easily loosen the guard of someone.

Lesson learned: Don't piss into the wind.

For someone who just got his hair cut, it looks a little wild.

Freya's a bit of a gremlin.

Poland it is. Don't know the language, but I sort of recognise it.

This manga follows the Light Novel (pretty faithfully), and Lucy IS a character there. Please stop spreading false information.
This is usually the case. Mangas based on novels tend to primarily follow the light novel, not the web novel. And there are often significant differences between them.

I still don't like Lucrezia and I hate how she is forcing herself into the story.
She's entirely in character doing that. It would be the author forcing her into the story if anyone.

Buuuut the mangaka and author seem to think that knowing more than one language is some weird kind of liability, because Japan.
Yeah, growing up learning more languages is a benefit as far as the research I've seen. It's not only about learning those languages, but also general comprehension and intellectual development.

40 days to the island, then another 40 to Poland, no...?
Probably talking about our time, with how some arcs in mangas can easily take years.

What? We just skipped... time?

Why can't we stay on the boat for a couple volumes?
I don't want another 8 year long boat arc man...
Man, fuck off with the blushing at nicknames. They are grown adults. And not japanese for it to make even a small amount of sense.
That's what happened? Lucrezia is still young, and she thought exchanging nicknames would be a big deal. Zenjirou, being more mature, didn't think anything of it.
