oh I think I'm quite familiar with this ending
These broken "fake" siblings are going to live somewhere else while the mom will take Sumire as her new daughter
I'm okay with that as long as that mad brother will never show up anymore

I am somewhat confused by this manga; the long gaps between the chapter releases certainly haven't helped (and I can't be assed to re-read), but it's hard to tell some characters apart and correct me if I'm wrong but didn't they establish very early on that the mother was aware the kid was the rapist's daughter?

No it was pretty clear she didn't know, part of the reason was that Shiika never revealed her actual last name, just the last name of her mother and brother.

I hope Kazuma is just bluffing to calm Shiika a little.

I mean, his mom received him with open arms and has been there for him as support, so it wouldn't be fair to the poor woman to suffer another loss without an explanation.

The next chap better not be not what the end of this chapter heavily implies. Seriously, I'm fine with them running off and living somewhere just the 2 of them even if it means abandoning his poor mother but they should NEVER go beyond their sibling relationship. Not that I think it would actually work out, an ex convict and an orphaned girl building their lives together is a pipe dream.

Can they stop overreacting FOR FIVE MINUTES WHAT THE FUCK
Sumire doesnt deserve this shit
Of course the mom is going to be shocked when she learns the truth, especially when she figures out that she's literally the last one to know. But it seemed like she was already coming to terms with it but of course this is the type of manga where no one talks to anyone unless its to cause trauma.

So now, rather than call his mom to check on her or even how the other girl is doing, these two are what, going to run away and live together? I'm sure just abandoning your traumatized mother and the others is going to go over perfectly.
Realistically sumire and the mom will live happily together now while these two idiots go somewhere else
Best case scenario honestly
I can finally scratch the itch that's been bugging me since I read chapter three of this thing idk how long ago that was: every newly introduced situation here is ephemeral and did not establish anything but a setting.

Problems here just rise and pop. They really just appear for the sake of narrative, except since there's not really any status quo, they just keep coming back to the rapist dad being killed (this being the fundamental status quo rather than whatever's happening) and everybody else go on a quick deprecation regarding death, either for themselves or others. Then a new problem appears for the narrative. Rinse and repeat. Nobody really learns anything except, again, for the narrative.

All this said, I'm definitely sticking to my seat on this trainwreck for at least a couple more chapters. Now that all mysteries about Shiika is answered I really have no idea where this is gonna go next.
I mean so far we have only had like 3 "problems"?
1. MC wants to kill himself
2. Why is shiika here
3. What is shiika hiding
Everything else was just connected to these
The central theme here is clearly trauma about losing family members for better or worse
Idk why you expect this to just be cleared up 10 chapters in and then the story just devolves into slice of life
You dont get raped as a kid or have your siblings commit suicide without carrying that with you for the rest of your life
The only person that seemed to have coped with the situation at all is the mom, and it turns out she just repressed it
why they've to pick the wrong choice ;_;
Go back to your mom first please talk it out = =''
If people talked things out we would have world peace
But people dont work like that
