hopefully, the "guilt&atonement" part actually plays out and the three of them would eventually get over the trauma and live happily with each other. If not and it turns out to be tragedy just for the sake of shock value then the author has basically thrown the whole premise (and the manga) in the trash

I have a very hard time looking at this setup where everyone is consumed by guilt and thinking it's going to be about the daughter getting her revenge. It could go that way, but it'd be very tacky. Dude wants to die. Mom probably wants to die. There's no story in chasing vengeance. There IS a story in finding a way to live after something truly horrific is done.

This is really hard for Kazuma. He loathes the fact that what he did has done so much harm to people. He really doesn't want his mother to suffer. So he sees Shiika, and thinks that she has the same plan as him. Hurt him for revenge. But he doesn't want his mother to suffer anymore. He thinks his life just continutes to bring his mother pain, so Shiika should kill him so that she isn't in misery anymore.

We only see his perspective, and it's very dark. What does Shiika actually think about this? I'm interested in knowing.

I'm not fond of how he had 7y to take it in and west let out but still react as if trauma was super recent (not that it's not realistic, not sure he had access to mental care in any form, JP jail is famously stuck in the past).

I think she will go the forgiveness route. If her actions and her last name (my guess it's her mother's) are any indication and she truly is the Shiika he think she is, I believe she knows what her father did and disowned him.
Presuming she wasn't another of his "toys" and is actually grateful to have been rid of him.

If that rapist is still alive though I'd offer him two choices, my left hand or my right hand.

My answer is JOJO part 3 episode 42.

Hopefully the author writes this with the proper care instead of throwing out edgy stuff for shock

Bro killed the rapist that attacked his own sister who then killed herself as a result. None of it was his fault. Why in the FUCK am I supposed to empathize with the idea that he's this guilty dude trying to "atone" and that I'm supposed to care if the guys daughter wants "revenge"? Why would she want revenge? On what grounds? Like, dude, her dad was the lowest of scum and deserved what he got. She should be thanking the MC since she probably would have been next. It'd be more believable if she was the one that felt guilty because of her fathers actions that destroyed the family she currently lives with. None of this makes sense. The drama here feels incredibly forced and exaggerated, lol.

"I...don't want to bring misery to anyone any more..."

He says moments before asking a young girl to kill him, ultimately causing his mother to more than likely be miserable for the rest of her life after losing both of her children.

Pretty sure Japanese culture just kinda be like that. The thing where he was imagining his mother being shunned by everyone tracks with how it be over there.

kind of expecting it to turn out the rapist guy was also a bad father and the girl was glad someone saved her, at least that way the mc can take some solace in knowing some good came of what he did

There are many ways in which this story may develop. Like, she may kill the mom and frame the guy, or kill herself and frame the guy, but only after he gives up on his suicide idea. The other (more optimistic) option is that they slowly help each other move on and find new purpose in life. This could be possible if the girl also suffered from her dad, so the main character is life a saviour to her.
that first option is too dark for me lol if it's gonna be like that ima drop asap
