I can understand Aya's perspective. This Koto she sees is not the same Koto she knew. Koto had many experiences for the past 7 years while Aya is only just starting. Aya needs to reset her life and Koto isn't helping her with that. I do wonder if this is all just a fever dream

I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I also don't see any scenario where Erika pursuing Koto doesn't completely destroy the friendship between the two of them. The author did try to warn us with the title that there likely weren't going to be any happy endings here.
If the author decides to go this route the comment sections for those chapters are going to be a glorious trainwreck.
