It has happened so often any anger that such a copout would have caused 15 years ago has completely melted away into being completely expected. The state of non-H incest manga is a complete oxymoron!!! Brother/sister taboo romances actually ending in a taboo romance as they were advertised is seen as a rare exception NOT the rule. You never see this with any other themed tag in manga, at least not to this scale.

If you go to a store and buy a product based on the packaging, you'd be pretty disappointed to learn that the product isn't anything like what it was advertised. Then imagine 60% of the products you buy from the store are plagued with false advertising! Even the bananas you'd buy would actually taste like blueberries! Wouldn't that be frustrating?

That's the same feeling incest fans get when they get baited. It has happened so often it's barely a tag anymore. Why even tease incest if it is simply not incestuous, you know?

Idk, I think they crossed that line plenty of times (at least when it was assumed they were actual siblings). They've had a lot of at least "tangentially" sexual acts between one another in the form of fan service lol.

But to clarify, I don't think the incest angle was THE hook, just another hook to bring people who are fans of that content in. I just don't like it when tags aren't accurate. It's like lying about the ingredients of food to your customers.

Yeah, my point was that I always saw this "twist" coming as soon as they started having serious fanservice moments together. I think a lot of us did. My fake outrage earlier in this thread was just a joke because I always knew they would pull this, just like most do. I would have been fine either way, but like you said earlier, I've kind of just accepted that most shows that pretend to have this premise are just bait.

It's like most things with the "harem" tag, when 99% of them don't have harem endings, which I'm sure is also the case here. You just eventually learn that the tag itself is the lie, and try to enjoy things anyway. But yeah, two of the main tags for this one are almost always lies, and so I don't get people being upset about them being that way. Maybe if you're new to manga that have those tags I guess?
