In the novel we're talking about the ending branches off from his decision on whether or not to forgive the girls and a true ending. Most people like these type of stories to see how the MC rises back up and show the people who betrayed him that he's better off and doesn't need them while they're pathetically struggling without the MC or unable to be as happy as they were when they were with MC. No one really likes the part where the MC loses but it's for the sake of the plot so he can get "revenge".
ok thats your take on it, but that didnt explained how it works with several routes/endings. Its a manga, not a game(visual novel). I dont get how you can have multiple paths in web novel/light novel/manga format. Except its a completly new take on said story. Im not saying its not possible, but the only thing I saw were "create your own story" of sorts.
It's not hard to explain bro it just branches off from a certain point. It's not new in manga either. "We can't study" for example had multiple routes for each girl. Sometimes they just make spin offs like boring girlfriend which Is a different route.
Could you pick up the series again? The app is bad and only has 4 chapters and you have to pay to read a single part of a chapter. I am genuinely interested in the manga if the story goes the way you guys are saying it goes.

What exactly does the Hero deserve? While one part of me does want the Hero to get executed and MC to get the Harem, the larger part of me wants the story to go a different way. First off why would the Hero ever face retribution? when all the side characters don't even bat an eye to his crimes. Who would he tell and what would he say?
Basically, it's a matter of what the hero does building on from this. on top of his ability rewriting everyone's memories, he also embezzles massive amounts of money from the country, constantly demands all kinda expensive shit while doing nothing, he randomly assaults women every time he goes to a town and almost gets everyone who works with him killed or intentionally leaves them to die after he fucks up the plan because he doesn't like them. He only gets away with it because of the memory alterations that are happening to varying degrees to different people, which is actually the more interesting thing about this one. Everyone, to different degrees, can tell that there's something wrong, that something's fucking with their memories and that what they're seeing doesn't match what the 'know'. Some notice that everyone, themselves included, seem to have gone crazy. It's a little horror-like to see them struggle with their perceived reality.
