I view this as the ultimate conceit in romcoms. That the ideal relationship is one full of conflict, misunderstanding, fights, etc.(when it's not obvious Wish-fulfilment pandering), and not actual communication and caring. It's why I pretty much just cold hard dropped all HS romcoms in general with only cursory follows. I'm of the opinion that stuff like Bonnouji and other quiet SoL romcoms would even remotely work today.
Yeah. Just look at many dumb people (on here, reddit, etc) that still think that both of them don't feel like couple at all when they already often enough show that their relationship is strong and become even stronger.

Those people clearly show themselves that they don't have idea how relationship works.

And yeah, I also agree with the last sentence.

It felt like a chapter in their life. Even if it was their graduation, seeing all of them get ready to hang out go bowling really makes me happy.

Shou and Rika know that they're gonna meet again. I really liked that.

Yuu and Miyako really got to know each other in this manga, and yet there's still still so much more for the both of them to know. They'll continue to love each other in a really mature way.

Even if this is the end, I feel like that there's no way it's the end of their stories, you know? There's a sense of closure here that even if we won't see these characters weekly anymore, they'll continue to grow without us.

Decent series, I think like others, I've been bored with the series for a while, but I kept up with the story. The author did a good job with the characters, and I think that was why it was successful and lasted for a while. The author also did a good job at keeping with the core feeling of the story and trying to avoid pointless conflict. My issue is that the growth of Izumi sidelined Shikimori's character. Her shtick was being cool through her protection of Izumi. When Izumi grew to no longer need protection, she wasn't able to showcase any of that anymore. That's why I think the pacing of the series was probably best wrapped up after they became friends with the gloomy Saruogi because he was a character similar to the old Izumi. I don't mind feel good stories but the emotions started to feel very surface-level-flat over the last couple of arcs.

Thank you for translating this. Truly thank y'all so much, I absolutely adore this manga and wouldn't have been able to experience all the joy held within without y'all. I wish y'all all the best, may you be fortunate and healthy for many years to come. And to anyone reading this, I hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I did and I wish you my fellow readers a joyous and prosperous life.

A fine manga all along getting a disappointingly bland end (but that’s Japan’s thing after all…)… oh well.

Thanks for translating it to the very end :salute:

Thanks a lot for working on this series!
I had actually stopped reading since chapter 13X and just binged all the ending arc, the build up with his parents was really good, made me remember some things i kind of had forgotten and hit me right on the feels.
As for the ending, i actually really liked it, never bought into that "oh hotel maybe sex or intimacy", like we got a kiss on the cheeks after like 110 chapters? or was it 90? you get the deal, and it never presented itself like a sudden development kind of manga either, i think the ending just fit.

I agree with all the comments, the manga fell off at some point, the story just went ahead without any plot or anything. We were just there watching them. Nothing more than that. Going to miss it, though.

Goodbye, Izumi and Shikimori.

The ending was a bit...disappointing..., but it has been a good three-years ride for me.
Thank you for all the people working on this until the end.

Love how the fanboys/-girls are just talking about the negative comments in 3rd person and try to avoid directly talking to them, because that would actually mean facing them, instead of hitting them with the "you're just a hater lol, you subhuman"

@yamiyugi101 hi there, you wanna talk? Nah right, we're haters, not worth your time. Better positive affirm other people that share your exact believes aye? ;)

handholding?! Omg shyshyshy, so lewd uwu

I'v been married happily for 5 years now. Any other stupid takes from you about what people believe how real relationships work?

Do you know who also should communicate well and support each other instead of creating needlessly drama? Friends. For some reason I don't put all good and peaceful friendships in the couple category... hmm I wonder why?

I mean there is a reason you didn't face any of my points at all, besides "correcting" your 1st post.

This is like asking your waiter for a cup of hot cocoa. You have milk (romance) and chocolate (comedy).

And your waiter brings you a cup of cold water for almost 200 chapters.

Are you really ordering anything? The author makes what they want not what you want

Personally I really loved this series, was always excited whenever it came up on my feed, missing cool Shikimori tho

In this series alone, it already show the difference between what each other do as couple and what they do with their friends.

Affirmation, trust, being more open and vulnerable, learn about the partner more, clearing their own insecurity, figuring out what's the ideal in their relationship, etc. Then, there are cultural difference bc their type of relationship is actually not that weird since Japan itself is surprisingly still more conservative than western country despite have porn industry.

The point is : they don't have much physical affection and skinship doesn't mean they're not like couple at all. Nothing wrong with having fun as couple at their own pace.

Rule 1. Don't attack others.

One of the most wholesome romcoms I've ever read. Sometimes too wholesome, but it is what it is. It even seemed to have lost its identity as a romcom a few times, leaning too hard into the slice of life side of things, but it pulled itself together for the end. Well, Miyako and Yuuki didn't go on a first-name basis for the end, but I guess that's just how they are.

I do wish the supporting characters could've been developed more and their backstories fleshed out; as a side ship enjoyer one of the biggest letdowns for me is the stark lack of any side ships in this story. Like, except for Kamiya nobody outside the main couple was ever interested in romance. Anyways, I'm still gonna miss this crew. Overall a positive experience, no regrets reading this.

ive been reading this manga for a couple of years now and while i don’t entirely agree that its boring, it does have its moments. However, this ending was sweet although it feels a little sudden and forced
