I cant get a read on momokas brother. He seems too perfect, the ultimate male friend for a woman to have. Normally those big facial pictures like he was in when he cheered mahoro up makes it seem like a secondary love interest, so maybe it is being played straight. But I feel like the author has the writing chops to pull off some twists. Like him working in tandem with momoka to pull rei and mahoro apart. But maybe that's too conspiratory.

It's just right now kyouka is out of the race. So it's either momoka or Rio left. Right now Rio is the most mysterious and definitely seems to have baggage of her own that should be revealed once we get more of a focus on her. So it seems like she's the target. And momoka seems like the most genuine of the 3, based on the interactions with her.

I just feel like the story would be too straightforward if it's just Rio, due to her being the last be to talked to.

Wait actually.....I. the 1st chapter it's mahoro interrogating 3 people, so it cant be just 1 girl working by herself. Rei could be 1 of the 3 shown, but regardless there has to be 2 or more working together here at least right? And the only characters that seem to have any connection that could work together would be momoka and her brother.

But then again maybe it's momoka and Rio? But if momoka is at all responsible, then there is no way her brother wouldn't be apart of that too.

So I feel if momoka is involved, the 3 have to be her, brother, rei or Rio

If momoka is not involved,, then cant imagine brother is either. So then Rio, rei......is there even a 3rd person left?

Feel like kyouka is just taken out of the picture entirely from last chapter until the end unless she still has a part to play.

I mean the 3 shadows surely wouldn't just be the 3 girls to begin with right? Or are the shadows a complete red herring to begin with?

Wonder if the brother knows Rio personally.

Thanks

I mean I wouldn’t turn down ramen but wouldn’t consider it expensive as opposed to Haruto asking for sushi

Lmao imagine being too hipster just bc a food place got better reviews unless the taste change or it got super crowded or exp I’d still go just on a less busy day

Tho awkward if chef heard the affair part

“made it up” but it still conveniently being same hotel cake guess it is a story and author wouldn’t wanna just have them try to obsessively search for hair milk posts
Lol
Imagine if this story was about all her girlfriends
betraying her, but in the end the only one who remained loyal was her husband, who now feels betrayed by her for doubting him

Someone loyal would be understanding tho I imagine still hurt but shame ppl aren’t required to do like once a week counseling even before marriage if not after once a year

Doesn’t excuse his earlier behavior tho unless mcs pov made it seem worse than it is

I don’t claim to understand women any better than the next person, but it seems to me that Mahoro has realized she doesn’t want to be married to Rei regardless of how anything shakes out. While I won’t go as far as others who have called him “evil, abusive, manipulative,” etc., it’s clear that Mahoro sees him as lazy and self-centered and someone who only knows how to seem nice at a glance without actually being a kind person, and she is deciding that their marriage doesn’t bring any benefits.

Then again, the very first page of the entire comic is her confronting 3 people and saying, “you stole my husband, I know it was you, ____!” So it sure seems like we’re going to find that a betrayal did indeed happen.

Hi, woman here. Yes you get it.

Rei is not some evil pos (though if he cheated I’d say he is) he’s just a lousy husband and ultimately Mahoro just isn’t happy in her relationship, her marriage.

To make a relationship work you need to be a team and that means both pulling your weight. And I mean any kind of relationship. As we also see in this manga, friendships are also teamwork and if it’s one sided one day you’ll be hit by it.

He betrayed her first for being an ass of a partner by taking her housework for granted.
To be pedantic, that's not betrayal that's neglect (in his case neglecting his duties) and taking things for granted.
Lets try to not be sensational and quantify morality accurately.

For the love of god can someone spoil me the hell of this thing, i tried even to find the raws but ganma sucks.
At least you have ganma, Google won't even let me install it on an emulated android phone while I'm stuck using an IPhone 1 atm.

It has to count as betrayal because it has to be sufficient to excuse her hanging out with a guy that she knows is waiting for her marriage to end so he can hook up with her.

Her husband really shouldn't have been having a meeting like that with her friend but at least he cut things off when she made her goal explicit. Her goal of breaking up his marriage and hooking up with her. Oh hey we don't even need to imagine reactions to genderflipped versions of this story, it already has both in one package!

Eating ramen from his bowl?! Mahoro, that's an... an in-ndirect kiss! You HUSSY!

That's it.
He is Shojo/josei equivalent of the super famous idol who is also a manga otaku and falls in love with our gloomy protagonist for no reason what so ever and/or the ultrahot Queen and/or warrior from the isekai world who ruins her panties at the presence of the MMC.

Someone loyal would be understanding tho I imagine still hurt but shame ppl aren’t required to do like once a week counseling even before marriage if not after once a year
I had teacher in highschool who's church required just this.
We knew he was getting married and off handed mentioned he had to go to couple's counseling after this, and we all about shat ourselves because how could he need counseling already they weren't married, and he explained it was church requirement to prevent.... well, situations exactly like Mahoro and Kyouko's.

Yup. He's not pure evil, and even if the relationship COULD be fixed its not a failing on her part if she doesn't view it as worth the effort.

That is not how the definition of betrayal works that's just using a person's reaction to misinfer causality...
By this logic we can can call anything betrayal as long as our own reaction is extreme enough.

I mean it's motivated reasoning and deliberate equivocation. Mahoro is in the process of building a case for divorce, so she has to make Rei into a bad guy (in her head) to justify (to herself) some of her actions in that pursuit.
Happens in practically every divorce proceeding. People know they're doing something wrong, and they don't like feeling guilty about it, so they come up with excuses and maximise every perceived fault in the other person and minimise every fault of their own.
True friends are supposed to be level-headed and push back on this stuff, and pull people out of destructive blame spirals instead of enabling it and enjoying the drama. Sadly those are pretty rare.
