How many chapters are left?
MangaDex has a feature for the completed works where the final chapter's number is displayed in the left column, in the same column where the info about the authors and alternative titles is displayed.

Final Chapter
Volume 5, Chapter 50

Rei getting criticized for using the bathroom is kinda petty ngl.

But mainly curious about Rios husband glare. Either he's gonna uno reverse, or probably more likely is about to enjoy the show, or maybe left instructions for Mahoro. But normally a dark background like what he was framed in would be something sinister so idk

lol my parents are uptight about cleaning too tho you'd think you'd clean something like the bathroom the night before and not the morning of

@Nosebleed btw did you Maigo ni Natta Kaa-chan e or is it on hiatus?

I mean it's all the little things that build up but i can imagine getting annoyed at that if she's also complaining about the body wash versus passive aggressively trying to guilt trip/manipulating him into being self conscious about the guests thinking he's a slob

faithless binch Kyouko gets more redemption arc.
Rio's husband continues to be a wonder person who the author still hasn't bothered to give a name, too busy gooning to Haruto.

I get why everyone is suspicious of Rio's husband, but I read that as he left written instructions in the bag and is signaling her to not be an idiot and open it in front of everyone but to open the bag and read his instructions in private. And let's be honest, Mahoro is a bit careless when it comes to these kinds of things
I dunno. he hasn't gotten a name besides Rio's Husband. Clearly he's up to no good. That's villain behavior. /s

My whole thing for me is she just quietly seethes instead of mentioning it.
Yes, Rei should be more willing to help and not just fob everything off on to his wife, but if she's this passive aggressive I almost can't blame him for a "You know what, fuck it, you're going to be mad at me either way and you are less mad when I do nothing instead of doing it 'wrong'" attitude.

I guess the other thing for me is I think we have another Women Writing Men moment. Dudes aren't going to grab the toilet paper unless its poop time, and who is going to drop a stank-ass curry deuce 5 minutes before company comes over?

Well, not only is he doing nothing like usual to help for all the preps, but he's trashing everything she's doing. Going into the bathroom, seeing it was prepared, but not caring at all and leaving it in a mess after using it, that's totally him again, and yeah he deserves criticizing, like for everything else. He just don't care about anything his wife is doing.
The least would have been to be sure the bathroom was left in the same state instead of trashing it. But of course, it's asking way too much for some jerk like him.

Also, how old is Haruto meant to be?
There's a whole discussion in the comments on the previous chapter, but early to mid 20s. (I think he's been shown in office wear so closer to mid).

I thought his name was Kei b/c.of his Instagram (ch 26, pg 11).

That would give Rei even more time to mess it up.

I know what happens Rio's husband isn't a cuck but in fact is fucking a crossdressing Rei :finnawoke:

Anyways, jokes aside, it's funny how this house party plot point only exists due to Japan's shitty divorce laws, like how 'murican omegaverse puts in "oh I can't afford the heat suppressants" storylines due to their shitty healthcare system.

I'm gonna feel bad for the people who just want to attend a party then gets caught in drama
Really? The person will receive cake and a show.

I think Rio’s hubby (who I too swear was named Kei) is going to expose Rio during the party in front of everyone. Who knows the reason why he wishes to do it like this. Perhaps he’s cheating himself or has cheated before and exposing her like this could save him from having to pay her in the divorce since he has dirt on her but she not on him. Or he’s innocent but feels so used (understandably so) that he decides to do it in public (in front of their friends) to shame Rio to the max. Like she’d probably loose most if not all her friends and people love to gossip so her social life would be ruined.

The problem ins't the bathroom, but the fact instead helping her with party arragements, he is messing up while complain.

One main points in this kind of work is show how the cheater poorly care about the house or about helping their spouse. The manga start with her making excuses for him, but after the betrayl was broght to the light, she started see how rei is a shitty.

You ever live with a shitty roommate? Or ever lived an extended period with narcissistic people? They take you bringing up those issues as nagging and being annoying, and almost certainly they're going to use that argument as a reason to antagonize you back. Given Rei's other traits, combined with the culture of "Shut up and listen to your husband because he earns the bread" it's not shocking she's resorted to passive aggression.

Because what's the play after going full on aggressive? Move out and deal with the societal shame? With what funding and means?

I don't think that's a Women Writing Men moment, people like that exist and are nasty. There are people who don't wash their hands after pissing, very interesting people exist in the world and it's not too unrealistic. The only annoying tropes I would say are the 2 "Mr. Perfects" in Haruto and Rio's husband but that's like bitching that shounen has women that are slavishly loyal to the male MC.

Kei ins't a mister perfect. We don't know if he also betrayed Rio, but he disdescribe himself as someone who not spend much time with his wife. This is excuse for cheating? Of curse ins't, but he also has flaws.

I don't know if i'm giving too much deepness to characters, but to me one of main points of this manga is the fact every character has a kind flaw and how they are led them to this point by this flaw.
