I wouldn't say that this is the FIRST time because she had a breakdown when she learned how much effort Gojo put into the first costume to get it done in two weeks JUST BECAUSE THEY HADN'T COMMUNICATED PROPERLY. It seems that both of them forgot that lesson.
It’s easy to forget when you can milk cheap drama off a successful running series that you can keep going for years.

So funny that people talk about this being the last arc, when the money printing is just getting started. Guess they haven’t experienced the Japanese manga market yet.

Or maybe they… forgot :dogkek:

But the problem is that by making the characters act...out of character to get those cheap drama, people will notice and call it out, as we have been doing recently.

Rest easy, Mike. You're one of the GOATs of scanlation. I'm going to miss seeing you around. Thanks for all the hard work. ❤️

Well yes, I’m just spelling out the obvious, since there are still defenders of this and people who are not knowledgeable or perceptive of these things, it is valid enough I guess.

I wonder how the Japanese readers take this. It will still make money for now, I mean Rent-A-Girlfriend is showing that milking drama works even today, but I wonder if the more mature audience of doll will be more unhappy with this.

F for Non-chan she was cringe in the past. I wonder if she'll apologize. It sucks seeing Marin cry. We just have to wait for the fluff at the end of the angst.

Calling it pointless drama when it's revisiting the founding event of Gojou's character arc. That's a head-scratcher. Remember when he met Akira the prop maker and everyone was guessing it was the childhood friend returning? We all expected this necessary step for his growth.

I can see some conflicted feelings in Non. She tried really hard to cheer up Gojou, lost her temper that one time, then moved away a week later. They've both been carrying the weight, and she feels guilty. I want to see what kind of person she's grown into. Defensive? Meek?

Hey everyone.

It's with a very heavy heart that I am letting you all know that our dear friend @mike_leehk has passed away on the morning of June 7th.

Mike was the person who's first dragged both me into the world of scanlation. He was a key member of Church of Potteto, has taught me how to typeset, and was an incredible mentor. But more than that, Mike was a very dear friend to many of us.

Mike leaves behind an emptiness that will weigh on us all, but we will keep his legacy alive in his name. There should not be significant changes to the groups activities, however, Church of Potteto activities will carry on under my stead, and I will be taking over as typesetter on Sono Bisque Doll.

I'd like to extend my deepest condolences to his family, and wish them the best in their grieving process.

Thank you for everything Mike, we'll miss you dearly. Rest well.

R.I.P Mike, and my deep condolences to you all in the group, do stay strong!

For Non, after reading the chapter twice, I think Non was thinking she'd be the 'strength' for Wakana by reading him a story (because his cousin says he'd appreciate her reading him a story, but this doesn't come from Wakana himself so we don't know if he likes it or not), when later it turns out she isn't, the hina dolls are the ones who helped Wakana heal and became his strength, and probably she felt jealous and ended up hurting Wakana. I wonder if she'd do the same to Marin if she knows that Wakana haven't been able to focus on his hina dolls because he's doing Marin's cosplay costumes.

Either Non's going to apologize for her past tantrum to Wakana or she's gonna make a drama again by going on another tantrum...

I just want Wakana and Marin to be together 😭😭

Miss you a lot, Mike. You were among the first people I talked to in the SBD community, and I always liked watching you stream your typesetting. You took it so seriously, and did such a good job with it.

Maybe it's dumb in the grand scheme of things, but... I'm so sorry you'll never get to see the end of so many series you loved. Dress-Up Darling. Bocchi the Rock. You enjoyed so many slice of life series so much, and I wish you'd gotten to stay with them longer.

I know I said it before, but please accept my condolences for your loss. Mike will be missed, and I am glad you're going to continue on with the work in his memory/

I was like others, a little mad with the u-turn from the previous chapter. But maybe there's a good reason for that, where Marin will be able to figure out herself the issue and come to her own conclusion on what to do next. If she hear it from Gojo directly, her opinions may sway in an unfavorable direction.

Who calls it “pointless drama”? You’re not even quoting anyone.

Arguing a strawman isn’t a class act or something mate…

Most people call the drama: boring, annoying, way too slow paced for the release schedule, the tip of the miscommunication drama iceberg, one trick pony.

P.S. some people love edging for one year to a drama buildup, many don’t. That’s the gist of it really.
And with this series beginning having attracted a huge non-drama fetish audience, this outburst of frustration is pretty normal and expected.
