At this pace it's gonna take another year for them to reconcile with both of them acting like nothing happened bruh. This better lead to some crazy development between the two, ain't nobody going through this bullshit just to have them go back to the same relationship 50 chapters ago.
Caught up. It's sad, that there has been no character development for some time now. Only chapters full of "hima, hima, hima, ..." (princess, princess, ...).
No insight into the MCs (why is Gojo sad right now, did Marin even have dialogue in the last chapters?, ...).
It was good in the beginning: the adventurous development of a friendship (or more) between two very unlikely characters, some well placed comedic moments, like the
"I don't plan on sleeping tonight"
in ch74 had me in tears laughing.
But since then I feel strung along by a non-story.
Monthly updates really does make this manga frustrating to read.
Especially since there isn't that much developement per chapter and they're short af.
Weekly is probably too much to ask, i think bimonthly would be perfect.
2 months for this short ass chapter damn. Of course they had to pull the bullshit where Marin gets interrupted every time she tries to clear up the misunderstanding so the drama lasts forever. There's been no development for the past 2 years cmon
I think it would totally be possible to make it a weekly release. If you take One piece as an example Eiichiro Oda still draws most of the manga himself with the help of only a few assistants and still manages to pump out a chapter almost every week. Also the panels in One Piece are packed with way more stuff. The last chapeter of Sono Bisque Doll was 50% black and white panels and 25% speech bubbles only panels, and even the panels that have characters on them barely have any backgrounds. I dont understand how this is supposed to be a monthly release. Like some already mentioned right now it feels lie a drama instead of comedy romance because of the cliffhangers and slow release.
I feel like the author has gone from using the cosplay as a vehicle for the romance to just throwing out the romance in exchange for nothing but cosplay stuff. Now, don’t get me wrong, that’s great that they’re super into cosplay. Happy for them that they’re so passionate about something, I really am . But dude… I feel like this manga derailed so hard as soon as Kita decided she liked him. Ever since then it’s just felt like filler because there’s been little to no movement in their relationship. And soooo many side characters now I don’t even know who’s who or why I should care.
Dropped. The rate of IRL time passed in comparisson to meaningful development in the manga is just not on an accetpable level anymore. Pretty sad, it was a promising start that turned into another manga with apparantly no plans for an ending in sight (that will probaly get axed the moment the sales dropp too much, leaving an unsatisfactory ending).
I still like this manga, but this chapter is testing my patience. Why does every good romance manga have to devolve into ridiculous levels of drama? The real world has too much drama already, it doesn't need to exist here too.
