@Kampfarsch, you might have missed something in your translation of the German names: wouldn't Granate (Grenade) be a better name for a military commander than Garnet? If we compare this world to ours, it's pre-firearms, but not by much. And grenades predate firearms by many centuries. Granat means grenade in North Germanic languages. It could be down to the manga translator or even writer being ever so slightly off. Their names are mostly descriptive of their personalities (cheerful, cold, liar etc.) or abilities (wire, I wonder where Linie lays the line), so I feel that Granate would fit better. I especially like Stark, as it's probably inspired by Starkadr who is mentioned by several medieval writers as the strongest (sic) warrior in pre-viking Scandinavia.
