@deathpad maybe Frieren specialist in destruction kind of magic so she cannot learn healing magic anymore. It's like if you big and strong like bear you can't become sneaky or fast like fox. And that why redmage, black mage, white mage exist

"I'm a freaking thousand years old" is a pretty good counter-argument for just about anything, if you think about it.

Full party, Frieren is the Hero now.

Feels a little sudden though, Fern and Stark both had at least a few chapters buildup before joining...

Thought Sein's childhood friend might be the elf monk, but the ears are wrong

Venom and poison is western language thing
Not even that. It's an English thing. The other Germanic languages don't have it, and afaik, neither do the Romanic and Celtic ones.

Also, more importantly, the common JRPG term is "poison". The term "venom" is almost never used, and when it is, it usually refers to a stronger or incurable type of poison.
As this series is based on JRPGs, using their terms makes sense. Just like nobody would complain if some character addresses somebody as "Master", "Teacher" or "Sensei" instead of using the person's name like you would in proper English.

Now that I think about it, the Hero looks extremely familiar with a certain character named Second-kun

@Ulfhednar neither do the Slavic languages, to the best of my knowledge.
All in all, I feel that enforcing the distinction between poison and venom, as if it's some key difference, is a very weak argument, bordering on trolling. See, for instance, BBC writing about venomous snakes: "One snake's poison may not be like another's, even if they are from the same species." At the end of the day, the purpose of a translation is making the original author's meaning understandable in another language. Would it have been better had venom been translated as "venom", not "poison"? Yeah. Has this small irregularity kept anyone from understanding what the intended meaning was? Not at all. So it's just not a big deal.

@emmie_dee Stark will now have to keep the cloak, same as he had to keep the handkerchief Fern gave him to wipe blood while fighting the demons! With time, Stark will have to haul around a whole second set of Fern's clothing, cause throwing it away will feel ungrateful, and Fern won't take the items with his cooties on them back!
