I take prefer the manga’s representation of the characters, the characters look much older in the manga than in the anime. It’s more serious here and Anis’s mental crisis is well depicted here, far better than the anime did..

Euphie's offer was basically reaching Anis darkest desires, that was to live for herself selfishly without a care. Anis magicollogy was originally created to solve her magic disability, that it could also benefit others was a side effect not the main objective of her studies, shes not a bad person but not a saint either.

She wanted validation and to live for herself not as a ruler and her actions indirectly caused Al's big clusterfuck and showed her in the face the consequences of her selfish actions.

As stated before Anis is not a bad person just a selfish one, but even her was forced to realize that with Al gone, she must take on her original duties due to be the only remaining child and also as a self atonement for her selfishness and carelesness

Imagine Anis might have felt when Euphie offered not to take her own burden but also to stop being human just for her sake, she was not only angered at how self sacrifical Euphie was willing to go, even more than Al himself, but also intense self loathing because probably a small dark part of herself did actually desire for it, not mentioning that Anis is aware that she a faliure magic wise, that she will be a faliure ruler wise, but when even her bloodbirth's right is taken away, she would lose not only her wishes but also her regrets as well, she would have "nothing left"

Well damn, she was prepared to take on the entire burden, i did not expect her to react SO heavily to an alternative.

I love this manga, but why is it an isekai? Is it more clear why in the LN? Because in manga form, I feel like this could be the exact same story without needing to be isekai. Not all isekai is bad, but if here its only to explain why Anis thinks the way she does, I feel like she could still have progressive ideas for magicology without having her be from our world.

Drama queen holy shit
Actual fucking flip flop logic
As if we didnt have dozens of chapters going about how shes better use in a workshop

She wants the recognition of being the princess because people put expectations on her even if she has no intentions to live up to them
Like a spoiled little child

Is it me or does Anis have like 15 different layers of complexes going on right now.

I wonder if they’ll ask this contractor lady if there’s any way to give Anis magic power.
She needs years of therapy with a highly skilled professional.! Even then, she might still face challenges. she is not only bipolar, but also delusional, that's quite annoying and actually sickening...

I think I prefer this adaptation of events slightly more than the anime.

The anime framed this event more like Anise and Euphy talking to each other with an audience (king, queen, etc) and it felt like they could have talked through the issue but simply didn't for the sake of the plot. They were even sitting beside each other on a couch. Where as in this it feels like Euphiy is more focused on presenting the case to the king and only talking to Anise when she is when she's presenting overbearing levels of 'kindness'.

As a result in this adaptation it feels like Euphy was completely blindsided by the fact that she pushed Anise into a corner versus in the anime where Euphy should have been able to read the signs.

The anime also had smug ancestor's personal experience of the life of a spirit contractor emphasized and clouding the event. It felt like it was 80% about Euphy's 'sacrifice' with a mention of Anise's emotional issues at the end so she'd run away after shamefully blurting them out. The manga if feels like it goes 80% the other way to Anise's problems and makes more sense with Anise running away. There was also none of that awkward pause where it felt like she ran away because she said something shameful, she just bolts purely because she's so upset.

The reactions from the rest of the characters is also much more enjoyable in the manga, the smug ancestor that knows everything didn't see that coming at all.

The isekai is one of the main reasons she ran away just now. You'll see when she explains it later in 2 or 3 chapters.

so many shocked faces this chapter and to end it with this one is pretty funny but the chapter itself was pretty good

Me: I'll take the immortality and immaculate magic spirit powers. They can miss me with the bureaucratic bullshit of having to babysit a nation full of corrupt morons tho

:wooow:
