In Asahi's defense, her leaking charming magic would have been a blessing, if bestowed later on an adult, but for a child it's a curse. She is spoiled beyond believe, but she never ask for people to be her stepping stones. Even if spoiled she turned out to be just airheaded, not a total monster.
When she showed up at those interviews, she said she was worried about her friend and I believe that's partial true. The other part of the truth might be, that she is anxious she might be taken by someone else. (Befriending other people.) The most annoying and also most human part of her is, that she seeks to be in MC near. MC has been a person, that isn't charmed by her and therefore handles her like a real person. A real friendship or the closest thing she ever encountered. At least real human interaction. And MC is way too kind and a pushover to show her how mad she was at times or depressed. If Asahi ever has encountered other people not charmed by her, those would either have ignored her (best case), get annoyed by her and get hostile towards her or would have tried to use her.
Still, she is the reason, why MC had to live trough that hell of a life. The people around her threaded MC like shit and she kinda (subconsciously) choose to ignore that for a good part, as long as the bulling didn't got to harsh. Again, maybe she thought that is normal, but her friend suffered...really.

@MaTu94: So, the 6,3% who don't agree to that war and the 93,4% who are screeming, "GOD WILLS IT!!!!!"?

Also I kind get very angry at MC mother right now. If her mother was somehow immune to that charm, why did she let all of that happen? Maybe she didn't wanted Asahi to grow up without a normal friend, so she lend her own daughter. An act of pure kindness. But didn't she see, that her daughter went from a normal child to a sad and gloomy one? If that would happen to one of my children I would go full RED ALERT! I find the reason and eliminate it! If it's caused by bullying and the reason is the proximity of that other child, Asahi's fault or not, I would have separated both of them, no matter the cost!
