This manga is just so disappointing nowadays, exploring the theme of pacifism in a violent world is interesting, but it's so cheapened when he are constantly shielded from the consequence of his choice every step on the way so nothing bad would happen to him or the people he truly care about.

I'm still gonna keep reading cause I'm in too deep now but I doubt I would ever rate this manga highly anymore.

Pacifism will never work. It is treated as heresy even in the ancient times where humans still have ridiculously high IQ (200 - 250). Only in this age when people now have half or even a third of the IQ of their ancestors are gullible enough to be deceived.
