Both of them are fucked up.
Be it Kiku or Mahiru, feels bad for them tbh. But then again Kiku doesn't deserve happiness from someone's pov.
for me it's wrong to read it like a juge. She messed up her life, was unhappy, and want to correct that in death.
For me it's relatable enough to empathise. i don't need or want a moral justification.
she's a villain sure, but this manga is not about that.

I still don't feel bad for her, it'd be better for everyone else if she's dead and gone.
Kid probably won't get over it but I guess that's what happens when you date a vampire.

Am I the only one who is kind of disappointed by the lack of action in these chapters? I mean like I get the backstory stuff and all, but nothing happens that keeps the story moving, the past weeks we only got flashbacks and talking.

And I bet everything is going to be fixed by the power of love. I know how cliché that sounds but I wouldn't be surprised if that is the approach the author takes.

Getting annoyed with this arc and with these(different?)scrubs dropping chapters early and getting all the discourse

I'm kind of questioning what it even means to be in love anymore, how can you tell if what you're feeling really is love? I guess this is kind of the problem Kiku is having

Kiku became a truly great and fleshed out “villain” in the last few chapters.
She isn’t evil in her objective, she is evil in the ways she tries to accomplish it, she is evil in her complete disregard for other people’s lives she destroys.
Although she knows what she did is wrong, she still sees herself as the victim in all of this.
This chapter is slow, but it is giving a lot more depth to the characters and the story.

What I want to know is: does she tell the same "I want to die a human and you to kill me" story to all the men she tricked going back decades? Because I have the impression she does.

Huh, so I wonder what'll happen to Nazuna considering Kou is a half vampire now. Would he become a full on vampire and Nazuna becomes human?

1000% ready for this arc to just end.
Don't blame you it keeps dragging on.

You can have a bad situation, but that doesn't justify your actions.

Eh, to me it kinda is meh rn. Kiku is like the weather, she changes from "I want to be human and die" to "I want to live a happy life as a human." I feel she used the same littld play with all her "victims".

Sadly. Not to mention combined with her looks.

I doubt it. Besides, I see the current arc end with OR Kiku realizing her mistake OR the guy becomes her offspring.

Maybe Kou can't become a realy vampire due Nazuna-chans half human DNA? I mean she is a born a vampire, but she still has part human DNA. That technically makes them both "hybrids." I think it's pointless for Nazuna to make Kou her offspring rn since he is a half vampire

The pace started to pick up recently and stuff started to actually happen (even if it was really a super small amount of progression per chapter) but sadly it seems YnU has fallen back to its old ways where a majority of the manga is flashbacks that took place in the past and exposition. Sad

At least there is some progress I huess. Tho I mean three chapters of flashbacks isn't just that appealing especially when we had badass Kou a few chapters ago. Like I understand that you want to tell a story, using some many chapters for flashbacks is a shame.

I really liked the series in the beginning, but now I just want it to end lol. It just keeps dragging on for no reason. The story could have ended by now. I just don't hope they pull some kind of Twilight here lol.

The plot was simple:
Kou needs to fall in love with Nazuna-chan in one year to be able to become a vampire. Then Nazuna falls in love with Kou.

Then the plot got overly complicated with Nazuna being born as a vampire and Kou suddenly being a half vampire. Then the whole Detective stuff and now the Kiku and Kous friend situation.

Like why make the plot so...complicated for no reason? You could just had Nazuna and Kou slowly fall in love without all that complicated stuff and it would have be fine.

I mean Tonikaku Scans(who have been doing this series for almost 4 years now)' version of the previous chapter only having like 5 comments because some rando put the chapter up a day before. So all of the discussion is happening there instead. This chapter has like 37 comments already and Tonikaku doesn't even have theirs up yet. I know some people don't care about quality or this kind of thing as long as they get the chapter ASAP, and I'm not saying these translations are bad, but when a group has been doing a series regularly and for a long time, I think it's good etiquette to not snipe them like this. Other folks have commented this as well.

You mean that some people just can't wait for accurate translations? I am not really surprised that is happens, especially when a manga is reach the climax of the story (I hope this IS the climax lol.) and it gets exciting and stuff.

I am not going to comment on the whole Tonikaku Scans situation, since I am new here, but I think if you find a translation that fits your style of reading, you should stick to it.
