The theory about her being Iruma's mother (that I don't believe anymore) was based in the idea that his mother was not his real mother.

Ameri eventually gets surrounded by the families that watched her birth through their children in the future, but what about then? I dont think prideful demons(especially large swathes of the families) wouldnt let their work go to waste by letting a sleazy guy who didnt move an inch take it all. This would have resulted in a large war over trampled dignities

Henri curb stomped one of those ugly dog heads but was slashed on his shoulder or something by one of them before the action stopped and the stand demon King came by and said essentially everyone stop? Then also the stand and demon King told Henri The demon human interface door was opening which didn't explicitly show but was presumably saying hey your wife's going to need to go through come with us and say goodbye or something like that? If that's the case then what happened in these moments before, during and after to the newly born? Ameri?

What if she plotted for them to send Iruma to Underworld to meet Ameri, because she liked Iruma.

I see the Iruma's mother theory is still popular in the comments. I wonder whether the author regrets a bit making the design that Iruma like (assuming the theory is wrong which I think).^^

I'm pretty satisfied with another theory - that Nishi drew Merize Iruma-shaped just to (pardon the tautology) draw a parallel between Ameri/Iruma and Henri/Merize dynamics. So, it's probably just an artistic device, and they shouldn't be considered that similar looking lore-wise.
But it wont be my L if siblings theory will turn out true

There is 0 chance she is Iruma's mother.

As much as they act the same, it's either coincidence.. or reincarnation, which honestly is just as bad as them being siblings. It could also just be, only humans with their type of personalities are allowed in the demon world to begin with. While not overtly established, it was pretty much given based on how Iruma talked about them, they were his real parents. He was just a baby, then forced to work the moment he could walk. I doubt people that selffish would care for a baby for a year or 2 before the child "became useful".

Just for the arguments sake...
Iruma's impression about his parents doesn't really prove that they are blood related. If they aren't, those scums would've really liked for him to think that they are his real parents.
And do you mean that they only cared for baby Iruma, cause they were his real parents (despite being the scum they are)? Sure, but they could've adopted him at whatever point in time before he "became useful", and as to why - maybe some kind of money scheme or whatever (i mean, it isn't a solid theory by any stretch, but neither is your theory about "personality" ).

I think it was Azazel himself that slashed him. As to everything else, well, we'll have to see it for ourselves in the future chapters.

Aaand thanks to the 4th season finally coming out I've been rewatching the start of the series and I remember the conversation between him and iruma after the kiriwo thing. Kinda breaks my heart. Even moreso if that was what the author meant even way back when ;_;

My money is on her being the author of "First love memories" and through that novel she recounts her relationship with Henry after a fashion ,thinking that her vague memories of her time with Henry were just a dream or idea she came up with one day.

A mangaka that Iruma has worked with as an assistant.

We know Merize had a talent for drawing, and that her true name was not Merize. So even if Iruma names the author at some point nobody would be able to make a connection with Merize.

It kinda fits.
And it sets the stage for a "all pieces come together" moment.
We know Iruma has worked as an assistant for the mangaka of first love memories.
We know that Merize was great at drawing , and that her true name is not Merize, so even if Iruma spoke the author's name , nobody who knew her would be able to make a connection.

What I expect to see, is Henry showing Ameri a portrait of her mother (I refuse to believe that Henry never had one made or has a self portrait of hers somewhere close by.)
Then by chance or intentionally Ameri shows Iruma her mother's portrait Iruma is shocked(and the chapter/episode ends in a cliffhanger as a fakeout to spark the interest of those that noticed Merize looks like Iruma with big breasts.
Only to have Iruma say something akin to "why is (real name here) sensei's portrait here!".
A sweet emotional scene happens and now the books have changed from being a curiosity that Ameri likes, to being a treasured heirloom for both Ameri and Henry.

Soooo... That was a big fat lie, huh? I'm sorry but this arc is so clumsily written. Merize gets lonely easily, she chose him, he promised to stay by her side, and yet he doesn't even protest her getting a memory wipe. Sad to see this being the last chapter Henri will ever be cool in in my eyes.
