her father is way better then he himself thinks he is, all those years of practice and live combat against monsters, and that sparing match he had with that noble, he may have quit while being E Rank, but now, when taking all those feats he has into account, he most certainly have to be comparable to, at the very least, a A Rank adventurer.
all her praise of him is to a extent actually accurate, but there is also a fair deal of a childs blind admiration of her one and only idol in the world, in her minds eye he is THE strongest and best in the world, and he can practically do no wrong, ever. if she had won, then in her mind that would have been because he let her win and she would have most certainly been upset about it.
oh, and one last thing, that noble girls comment about how he rotates his body to put weight and speed into his attacks, that is actually exactly how you are supposed to attack in certain fighting styles, and his size advantage over her gives him greater reach and weight that he can put in to his sword to make his attacks heavier, someone of her smaller stature is in a significant disadvantage against someone like him. dont know if this detail was a accident or not, but whatever it was, it's realistic and accurate.
and is there anyone else who find it fun to over analyze the characters and theorize about how they would react in what if scenarios? like in my "if she had won" scenario?
and try to fill out what remains unmentioned but by all intents and purpose would only be logical to assume they do? like for example, him training and adapting his fighting style to accommodate his peg leg and turn a disadvantage into a advantage?
