Personally it’s just kind of breaking my immersion. Supposedly humans are losing the war against demons and their allies, but I have trouble comprehending that given how chaotic and disorganized the leadership is, on top of apparently the upper echelons are constantly fighting and killing each other. Then there is the fact they are constantly wasting possible labor sources just to torture and kill for both pleasure and education. It just gives me this feeling that the demons are just failing upwards… somehow? The scope of the conflict feels weird, as apparently the top of demon is so strong that there is no infighting, which makes no sense given just how these characters have been presented.

They are not wasting possible labor resources. They want to obtain the High Elf's healing magic for themselves, but they have not realized the reason they cannot is that healing magic is based on Love. Since they cannot Love their most hated enemy, they will never be able to achieve what their research in keeping her alive is all about. In fact, that's how Zilbagias is going to get her out of this dungeon - because he 'brainwashs her' into being his healbot and then negotiates increased healing for the Dark Elves. (Who sit behind the Demons in the priority queue for healing)

The Rage family raises Humans on a farm to be used as healing resources because they have to sacrifice one for every life they save.

If it wasn't apparent by the rivalty of the mothers, the Demons are CONSTANTLY AT EACH OTHERS THROATS, and the War allows them to work together. (Demons aren't fighting each other right now) The reason the humans aren't dead already is because the Demon King knows the instant it's all over, the army will turn on each other. It was spelled out in the First Demon King's book, which an earlier chapter covered, and laid out in detail in the Light Novel.

Even individually they're a product of their society and in the novel MC keeps getting rude reminders of that.

For example his beloved mother

uses human slaves as fodder for her transpose magic while training Jilbagias. Using real weapons and inflicting serious injuries which are then transferred to the slaves. And no, she doesn't feel bad about it beecause her clan literally bred those slaves just for that.

since she can regenerate, he might be able to keep her close by with the excuse of ‘infinite heals’.

But considering the tone of the story, it isn’t looking good for her. I’m hoping she’s saved tho

Edit: just had a thought, if the MC will use the Saintess to break another taboo, will it end up being something more fucked up than what the dark elves did to her?

helping her in any positive way would have been a taboo for the dark elves or the demons, but someone already shared what's gonna happen (not that I'm complaining, a monthly series really wants to make you learn more)

In the novel there's no mention of sexual assault and the author thankfully clarifies that Liliana wasn't subject to that at least because the night elves see forest elves as animals and therefore would consider having sex with one as bestiality.

It wasn't clear in the wn even I thought that for a bit. But that's because the translation is pretty mid. In the official light novel its very clear that although they can't stand the though of raping her themselves they definitely did chuck her to the goblins. Tbh this makes much sense anyway as if the ONLY torture they didn't do was rape than that would just be the usual predictable "gotta keep a harem member virgin for the mc" shit using some extremely unbelievable deus ex machina.

I really didn’t think it would be that bad and that maybe she could be saved.

I’m still holding out a bit given that she’s on the cover, but I’m starting to think that maybe that’s just to show that she has a large impact on the mc due to this.

I think I was staring to feel a bit more “the demons suck but they’re not that bad” feeling due to chapters being a bit happy in the demon world for him, but Godammit this really made that shift mentally.

Ironically I kinda feel like the same thing would happen to demons/etc in the human world by the high up members, less bad, but given the worlds theme I doubt they treat their prisoners well, although most of them likely can’t heal infinitely.

TLDR; I really hope there is some slight possibility to save her, they said she can heal any wound, and maybe it’s possible still with limbs, but mentally— I’ve not got faith.

This is horrifying torture especially since it seems she is dead but the torture starting by raping her is horrifying!

I am betting our prince needs to continue or participate for taboo. That or completely break her into his personal slave/toy

So not the burning, drowning, exsanguination, flaying alive, clearly the rape by goblin was the most horrifying.
