Can anyone shed some light on why translaters are so dead set on calling combos or meals "sets"? You'd think I would be used to it by now but every time it comes off as unnatural.

Does anyone actually use set in this way? I only read about tea sets
- the plates and cups, etc you use to host a tea party. Never have I ever heard set used to refer to a group of food items (except in manga-land).

Must be a japanese thing; they must look at us using the word "combo" in the same way, kinda like asking "why are they using the word for fighting games for a meal set?".
