Pretty interesting use of his power in a fight

I love this kind of creative use of powers in fiction.
It shows smarts, and not just the dumb use of a power that is OP just because it's level 9999 out of 99.
It shows a story that's built on setup you can trust, not just random BS power triggering out of nowhere because there is no other way out for the MC.
Even if it wasn't enough this time and he was saved by a new character appear seemingly at random, it was a nice trick.
