This makes sense... If anything, I was kind of expecting the gods to intervene at some point: they have Raoul's entire life as the focus of the game, so naturally the Star Player on the opposition's mortal side has to be saved by "divine grace".

No author, I won't cry for her even if she was tortured and manipulated. Suffering doesn't give you a free pass to cause innocent people to suffer just as much, if not more. This isn't a punch card system where if you get enough bad experiences you can torture, rape, kill and manipulate other people. She deserved everything she got and I won't be swayed by a harsh backstory
