The orb honestly doesn't play a role here, so I think you misunderstood what I was saying. What I'm saying is that the Underworld Bum should understand how the people of hell are and their histories. But apparently he hasn't paid any attention to them or their proclivities, so he was caught off-guard when Raoul makes a version of the princess that actually acts like her and Sandra chooses that one. If he was even half-decent at his job he'd know that getting barked at was precisely what she was into and used to. But the reason he isn't is because it's funnier/more enjoyable for him to be an idiot and buffoon rather than a legitimate threat to Raoul's goals like he was introduced as.

I don't see where he was introduced such that we should assume any different. Like all of the past enemies the God was only being pumped up by himself and his flunkies. Just because he is a God is not a reason for us to assume otherwise. The first character Raoul put under his heel in the whole series was a God.

And yeah, he isn't as good as he says he is. As Raoul said, he's previously run Hell using only terror. And the various torture realms where said terror is instilled isn't even run directly by him. Using the orb as a crutch further cements that. He got lazy and complacent like EVERY other character Raoul whacked. That's the point. There was a build up and an explanation, but you preferred the plot you built up in your head instead.

Usually i would dislike when a manga keeps its story going for longer than it should, but somehow this is highly enjoyable.

loving the god of Hell, really displays that godly essence well, of both being incredibly imposing and even calculative yet at the same type a complete dumbass due to simply being too full of himself, feels like some kinda ancient greek tale.

I said he was originally introduced as a threat to Raoul's goals and he was. With his ability to wipe a soul from existence, Raoul's goal to torture his enemies was at risk, this much should've been obvious to anyone reading the series. It's why the second we see Little Miss Salvation get dusted, Raoul gets pissed. It's why they're having this competition in the first place, because the only way to really hurt Raoul is to bruise his ego, to make his efforts wasted, because his goals are all he cares about.

You won't kill him, no, but it still counts as a win against him and he knows it....Then we threw that out the window because it's funnier this way.
