Because when you're this high in society, there's gonna be someone out there 'against' you.
So by speaking in euphemism it's a form of defense since you have an excuse of 'you misunderstood what I meant' if someone take offense.

The advices Myne gave could've gotten her punished for insulting a royal, but he's established that he want her to be blunt with sending away her attendants.
And of course with her dropping ded, now he's the one stuck with 'pushing her too hard and ignore her 'clearly' feeling unwell' she could use against him.
