i have been thinking about this nonstop tbh. it haunts me. what if that river is dammed up and then it floods because nobody knew there was a magic infinite water machine and whole towns are swept away in the resulting watery carnageWouldn‘t dumping infinite water into a river, y’know… flood the entire world
This is what happens with rookie designers with no practical experience or training. A lot have vague but grand ideas of what they want, but don't actually know what's entailed in the actual production, or all that problems that come with the ideas that need to be hammered out. Temperature control of his heating system, control of the water production, outflow problems, material and production costs, like those hundreds of wind block tiles he wanted in a day...he's lucky Black Iron was so willing to teach him on-site."How was I supposed to catch that without testing it?"
In what universe are you not supposed to test things you're working on, ESPECIALLY if it's something you've never made before? That's like... basic craftsmanship. Of course you were supposed to test your contraption to make sure it worked like you thought it would. Because there's a very real (and very likely) chance that it doesn't since you're not 100% sure what you're doing in the first place...
No. The extra water isn't even a drop in the bucket for the world-wide water system. Hydrogen from split water throughout the system will end up escaping in far greater volume overall, easily enough.Wouldn‘t dumping infinite water into a river, y’know… flood the entire world
I like the interactions. Also shows that the MC still has things to learn. Including common sense. Is nice to see the other craftsman interacting with the MC and the boss giving tips about things that are needed for the design to work.
Hope so. Or that he just quits that guild since they insist on stopping him from doing what he wants.Looming threat of "officials" and "guild rules" and "political bullshittery"... Please no author, don't do it.
Even if mr noble whatever will poof it all away (right?), don't we deal with enough of that shit in real life already.
Yeah, he's putting actual work into the project, rather than just having his cheat skills and/or isekai knowledge solve it for him. There are setbacks and redesigns before coming to better solutions. And it's also not taking several chapters to choose a specific rock.its refreshing how grounded this has been in comparison esp with our mc getting shut down on his early concepts and even running into trouble when he tried implementing his current one and the bit with the sculptor was just a nice cheery on top
A river normally has a fairly constant flow anyway, and it usually comes from nearby hills and mountains that collect rain water. I don't think this would add much in terms of volume.what if that river is dammed up and then it floods because nobody knew there was a magic infinite water machine and whole towns are swept away in the resulting watery carnage
I was wondering about that too. I thought he had tested it or knew enough about it to keep the temperature at a decent level. If you don't know, you do small-scale tests to see how things actually work, before you build the actual thing. In what universe are you not supposed to test things you're working on, ESPECIALLY if it's something you've never made before?
