I recognize this artist’s style, and I remember dropping their other manga I was reading because everyone looks like they have fetal alcohol syndrome and I couldn’t get over it. Also not sure why he chose to give the MC generic villain face #3, and that condescending sneer is apparently his one and only facial expression.

The reason assassins were mostly depicted in full black attire (usually a little bluish) is because they work in the dark (at night).

If the author want to make them do the ambush in broad daylight, he shouldn't have made them done a full black and just go with the usual bandit attire (or better yet, make them go camo in a forest, wwwwww).
