she doesn't brainwash she is manipulative(not even that good), she is good at fake crying, and she seems to have at leash a few dozen coin lying around her warehouse evidence by her managing to buy a fake assassin and a few dumb goons.

I cannot describe to you just how much I hate this guy right now, regardless of anything you might try to say to defend him. He, without seeing it with his own eyes and only circumstantial evidence at best, shoved the face of his childhood friend into the ground. I was gonna call you guys dumb for thinking they're setting this story up for her to forgive and/or fall in love with her abusers because it seemed pretty obvious the author was establishing how much of engrained some of their abusive mindset is ("I only touched you, you're not *still* upset about [hurting you one whole minute ago], are you?").
... But. I'm a little concerned about how the atmosphere and tone shifts when we start looking at things from the knight's perspective. It's a bit too "no really, I just want what's best and I don't know my own strength"

this is some unreliable narrator type story and all the shitty dudes who betrayed her wake up and realize they are the bad guys of this story. Regardless off the saintess, their actions were over the top cruel at best.
