At this point I just want to see how this ends - the twists are pretty interesting. Wish people would stop complaining about the confusion though - complain after the mystery is resolved, if the explanations are found lacking. Without seeing any explanations yet, surely it's premature to judge whether this mystery story is confusing or not?

I wonder if Aquila has brain damage. He seems to understand that he did something wrong. But, either he cannot travel back before he broke Uriel's hand, or that was the lesser of some other evil. But regardless, why does he act so sickeningly close to Lamia? Unless this is some sort of groundhog day scenario he is living over and over again and he finds it hard to distinguish every scenario run from each other.

So I dont think the other timeline have uriel.
In the flashback, lamia never mention her brother and I do think the mysteries lies with uriel and the look alike him.

So what If, all the contradiction happening because of uriel....
The previous timeline-uriel dead-lamia being killed ass revenge.
This timeline- uriel live-lamia not dead yet-there is another kid looks like uriel.

@indigo99 I love your analysis! You perfectly explained why I like this manhwa so much (´∀`)

The story is moving at a slower pace than most but I enjoy a mystery that leaves me spinning new theories with each chapter. Some say they are confused, but isn’t that the point of a mystery? Somewhat? Lol. I appreciate that all the characters are not entirely likable (imo), or that I constantly question their true motives. At first I was worried Lamia would be the “perfect” tsundere FL caught up in an unfortunate situation, but I’m glad that’s not the case. At the moment I have mixed feelings about her.
Aquila...I have to say I do enjoy his character and the mystery surrounding him. This chapter acknowledged that he did in fact feel guilt for what he did to Uri (or maybe he was just saying that for Lamia), but we still don’t have the full story. I’m guessing that
whenever Aquila goes back in time he bounces between dimensions. This could explain the drastic change in personality- or he could just be a total simp for Lamia. Actually I think it may be both. Or perhaps it really was him who broke Uri’s hand, and he had a more complex reason for doing so. Like someone said awhile back Aquila could have broken the hand if it was somehow related to Lamia’s death. But I’d guess after watching her die once more despite his preventative measures he regretted his actions and went back in time again- which leaves us at the current timeline.

Idk what I’m spewing so don’t mind me. TL;DR: This is good so far I’m excited for more

"Now.... is not the right time."

Hmmmm..... "Now"

Given the pause after 'Now" (and assuming this possible significance wasn't just invented by the translation process) I can see two possible meanings on why "Now" wouldn't be the right time. Its been heavily hinted that Prince-kun has knowledge from, lets call it "outside this timeline", and he could have knowledge from multiple "alternative timelines".

So in my speculative opinion:

A) 'Now' is in reference to some future event that Prince-kun has knowledge about and he feels that event needs to happen before he can apologize.

B) 'Now' is in reference to "this timeline" and Prince-kun can't/won't apologize because he knows he won't be forgiven; possibly because he either can't/won't give the reason for his actions; or maybe he already tried apologizing in an "alternative timeline" and it didn't go well and/or was just 'too little, too late'.

@mamatcha Thank you! I can't agree more with you, that's exactly the point of a mystery! I mean, I honestly just don't want to know everything at once.
That's an interesting theory btw! I read somewhere another theory that
in the first “original“ timeline Lamia was killed because she became the lead of the Orphe family, therefore became a target of enemies and was assassinated. Aquila travelled back in time and broke Uri's hand so he cannot become a knight. Probably Aquila guessed that Uri can only become the family lead due to his injury, and Lamia would dispense her duty to become the heir and will be a knight instead. It sounds pretty logical actually!

I could imagine that now with the current new events
the hidden illegitimate son and Uriel have a deeper connection, maybe are even the same persons since Uri was obviously hidden from official events and the whole family when he was younger. I bet Lamias assassination has something to do with it, but we cannot tell yet
. I really do look forward to the coming chapters!

What a weird family. As far as I know Uriel is a legitimate child of the duke so why would they hide his own son to Lamia, is it because she needs to focus in her studies to be a duchess?

Somehow I think Aquila did that to Uriel because he knows something worst could happen to him if he became a knight

Maybe I'll drop this until they accumulate to 100 like chapter or something. Might be more fun to read that way.

I read spoilers and theories before. Like @indigo99 said I think the most rational theory is that Lamia's deaths were always when she is the head of the family. So if Uriel becomes the head instead of Lamia and she becomes knight she can be protected -and maybe even protect herself?- This is the reason that he made Uriel unable to become a knight.
Actually the plot is satisfying and that's the why I read this story and if you guys have time u should also look other theories as well, all of them are interesting. Anyways thanks for the update~^^

Okay I have a theory. Okay maybe not one but several theories.

What if uriel is actually not her real brother but her nephew (the son of the current Duke Orphe's brother and that maid) but in previous timelines he was not brought into the family and it gave a valid reason for the Baron to be able to use him to fight against the dukedom and it also cause for Uriel in the previous timelines to grow to hate the Orphes (perhaps due to the Baron's teaching) and he along with the baron waged attacks after attacks until Lamia's eventual death.

In this timeline however Prince Aquila had manage to somehow make the dukedom bring him into the family and the dukedom decided to keep Uriel's real identity a secret even from Lamia and Uriel himself. However, Aquila couldn't quite forget the things Uriel did in the previous timelines and chose to attack his hand. And what he means by the things he said about attacking his family is actually a reference to his real family (the maid and the baron protecting him in the previous timelines) and not his current family because Aquila had been aware of what they did in the previous timelines - hurting Lamia. So Aquila did the attack out of momentary vengeance and also to ensure that Uriel will be the next heir to the dukedom and cause for the Baron's current attacks on the dukedom to be invalid right after it is announce that Uriel is the heir to the dukedom instead of Lamia. So it prevents future attacks from happening too because it's now certain that Uriel would inherit the dukedom instead of Lamia. So in the end it ensures Lamia's safety.

But one thing that Aquila had missed out is that Uriel has now become a valuable member of the family and to Lamia so hurting Uriel is like a direct insult to Lamia too. And another thing that he also missed out is that Uriel in this timeline did not turn out bad because he grew up in the dukedom and is no longer influenced by the Baron. So it couldn't have been possible that he in this timeline would harbour malicious intentions towards the dukedom or Lamia. So when Uriel hears the threat against his family he immediately assumes that Aquila is threatening the dukedom which is his family now and not the maid and the baron who protected him at one point in this timeline and in the previous timelines.

Yes Aquila has a valid reason to be mad at Uriel's real family and possibly Uriel too because they might have killed Lamia and her father in previous timelines but what he missed out is that Uriel is no longer part of the bad guys cause he grew up within the dukedom.

And I feel like the thing that solidifies this theory are the events that happened in prologue chapter 3. In that timeline it seems like there's no sign of Uriel at all cause

1. Lamia is wearing a dress which means she DID become the heir to the dukedom and didnt become a knight

2. For a sister who's so devoted to caring for her brother, why does she not even mention him to Aquila once?

3. The location they're in seemed to be in Lamia's homeland cause of her mention of the region's specialties. If she were to become a knight she should be at the capital instead of her homeland which goes to show that she DID became the heir

4.There's no sign of Uriel at Lamia's funeral.

And the reason to all those is because in the previous timeline Uriel DIDNT enter the dukedom and become her brother but was fully raised by the Baron instead.

Other small details that I noticed now from the prologues is that this is not the first time for Aquila to turn back time. And I'm guessing that the events in the current chapters is the 4th timeline. Meaning it's the fourth time he turned back time. And in this timeline he chose to save Lamia's father to prevent the disasters that might happen to Lamia in the third timeline. And he also hurt Uriel to prevent him from being a knight and instead be the heir to the dukedom to prevent the attacks from the Duke.

The events in chapter 2 might be the third time he turned back time, and in that timeline he brought Uriel to the family, possibly hurt Uriel too to make him the heir which is why we see Lamia deciding to become a knight. But in this timeline he didn't save the Duke and I assume something bad still happened to Lamia which cause him to start the current timeline.

The first scene in chapter 3 is possibly from the second time he turned back time in which in this timeline he and Lamia were able to grow close and are able to fall in love like in the original timeline but he didnt bring in Uriel to the dukedom in this timeline which cause for Lamia to die because of the attacks from the baron.

Meanwhile the scene where Lamia reached out to him is the original timeline in which he and Lamia truly fell in love with each other to the point that they got engaged (look at the two rings he was holding before he made a promise to make spring come to Lamia again). In this timeline, Uriel is also not her brother and Aquila and Lamia possibly fell in love like any romance leads does but Lamia got killed in the end maybe from the baron or maybe from an unknown enemy. But the events in this timeline is what prompted Aquila to start the 2nd timeline but failed to save Lamia again then he start the 3rd and failed again and now he started the 4th timeline.

Because he turned back not once but 4 times he knows more about what will happen and that he shouldn't apologize to Uriel just yet, possibly to prevent the events in the third timeline from happening.

So yeah that's my crazy long ass theories. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk today and I look forward to read the real explanation to the comic 😂

What if with every rewind Aquila becomes more and more unstable. I wouldn’t be surprised that hundreds (speculation) of rewinds would knock a few screws loose in someone’s head. So this timeline he gets confused with the other rewinds and attacks Uriel.

Ok nevermind he isnt a twin lol

What kind of f*cked up family is this?! The brother goes around banging maids and having illegitimate child, and the other brother doesnt even tell her daughter that she has a younger brother? Why would you not tell that to your daughter?!
