He complains she never let him spoil her when he never tried and deliberately suppressed her freedoms to support his fragile ego. and did not even try to comfort her when her father died and complains she never complained about her sadness, when at the funeral scene in the other version she is obviously devastated and trying to force herself to keep it together, and all he does is start to put his hand up and put it back. Asking is for comfort is not required, if you care about the you try anyway.
That and the blatant attempt got steal her credit and money... seriously the entire meeting feels like an attempt to get her to agree to something that he would turn against her after a while.
Also, did't his older brother inherit the trading firm, shouldn't he need big bro's permission first before saying she can no longer deal with them because she forced an employee to admit to his non-company (personal life) misdeeds...
@That_1_Gal : having to be threatened with a lawsuit to publicly admitting you misdeeds means he is not acknowledge his mistakes. Same for not telling the MC where things went wrong. he is more concerned with his reputation and appearance to to acknowledge and address issues.
@mangolover : The insecurity issues could be worth pity, if he had not cheated on her, stole credit for her work (there is no way I am accepting he did not know he was going to break off the engagement at that point), broke the engagement at the last second, tried to fast talk her out of her half of the house, and did not come clean about the "patents" in his name alone (seriously how long did he expect it to take for this to come out, and why the F did he think she would be OK with him just transferring rights to the funds, it should have been brought up at the engagement annulment at the latest)
@zz2000 : it could have worked, it was basically an arranged marriage and those did work for centuries. As long as both parties commit themselves to it, Dhalia tried to and seems to have respected him before this (more important for marital longevity then a crush, since the divorce rate is heavily influenced by people marrying to fast for the wrong reasons). But Tobias made it not work due to his idiocy and inadequacy issues.
