Here's our GODDESS's response to the result of the tournament:

Eh hem... Despite not winning, I'm glad and surprised that Super Driver was able to advance so far in the tournament with relative ease. I thought it would struggle against the Cool Guy in the first round, but then it proceeded to curbstorm every song it faced. I was also expecting the other three submissions to advance much further. But I guess it's just one of those unpredictable things about these tourneys.

@NauseatingKittenz188 Heheh. I actually checked, and if you had voted earlier, the outcome would have been different. Oh well. XD

Funny how the tracks at the bottom brackets ended up on top, while the top ones ended up at the bottom slots in the final.

@phoenix_eD We need to ask sterven to find this guy an avatar.

One is completely anonymous submissions, where submissions would be sent via DM instead of in the submissions thread.

I thought about this, but decided against it. We lose something to discuss about, and we might have many people submitting the same submissions. But hey, if you wanna try it, go ahead. I also kinda want to see how it will turn out myself.

I thought about this, but decided against it. We lose something to discuss about, and we might have many people submitting the same submissions.

That's a good point. I'd hope that it would mostly be a mystery as to who submitted what, though, as there would never be any concrete evidence. Even if someone said "I submitted this song" they could be lying.

As for the duplicate submissions, I guess a good way to go about it would be posting a constantly updated song list in the submissions thread (in the original post) so that people could read it before DM'ing me their submissions. Tbh tho, I wouldn't be surprised if people still accidentally submitted duplicates lol.

What inspired you to start the Music Tournament events? What are your thoughts on tournament 2.5?

I took the idea from someone whose name I forgot from Xseed Forum. We used to have two of them, only for video game music, though, back in 2015. Unfortunately, while people were interested at first, we quickly saw people disappearing after the second round or so. After the second tournament, the original host stopped. I liked the idea so much that I wanted to host one myself someday. I tried to host one at RPG Maker Forum a few years ago but it wasn't allowed. Finally tried my luck here and I'm glad it has gotten more popular now.

If we have some more people from Xseed back then participating as well, it'd be even more fun!

As for this tournament, I'd say it was good for the most part. I didn't see many songs that impressed me like the other two tournaments. Some of the choices were very questionable as well... I don't think it was because I was burned out, but more like many of these weren't appealing to me or impressive enough to wow me. Hey, you like what you like. That's also another reason why I didn't explain much about what I voted for. Well, not like I could explain in much details as Korsai, anyway. XD

It's 9 to 8, Colors. If Haruhi had one more vote, it would be 9 to 9, and then EOTFOFYL's tiebreaker would make it 10 to 9, Colors. Some votes are easy to miss bc PEOPLE DON'T BOLD THEIR SHIT.

This is indeed an issue. Thankfully we have dedicated shitposters users here, but there will always be people who pop in and out, or simply stop voting altogether when their submissions have all been beaten. Idk for sure what measures I could take to encourage consistent participation in the future, other than just making it look and feel more appealing.

We talked about how I didn't have enough entries to warrant my participation and that you would give me some recommendations to assist (this was some several dozen thread pages ago). I thought about it, and I may actually have enough good entries to take part in the tournament should we go forward with that particular theme.

I agree with Korsai, @Mr_Detective, i think that doing another OPs tournament would feel repetitive, even if it's about full OPs instead of shortened ones.
