@Kaiofficialone Our relationship? Can you elaborate? We have no problems with Webtoon and we've also never had any interactions with them

Mangadex is evolving! Leading the way to industry and piracy coexistence .

This might have a bad ending but respect to Mangadex people for trying!

@KiraEllion Yes, we're redirecting you to a different site. We have absolutely zero interest in hosting official raws. Using their free site is a way to support official releases.
There was no fuss a month ago about chapters that redirect. If you're talking about the groups that left, they did so because of false accusations of us going legit.
Unnecessary, possibly. Unwanted, definitely not. The chapters aren't dead, you just have to read it elsewhere.

And now I cant read any of these mangaplus manga anymore since I live in Japan! Thanks!
If you live in Japan, then you shouldn't need to read English translations.

You should learn the language of the country in which you reside.

In the worst case, can't you use a VPN to access mangaplus?

Here, this link is for you.

Cool but some question, are M+ chapters gonna be updated automatically or someone gonna have to link it manually?
Two, we got things like mangabox translated chapters here that isn't available anymore in their site so, are we gonna keep it or treat it the same way as M+ and obliterate the chapters?

I'm glad to see people like having MangaDex indexed by SauceNAO, and I'm very grateful that the staff here has been so willing to work with us. Adding such a large collection of manga is very exciting, and has so far been incredibly useful.

As far as effectiveness goes, it's pretty good as-is, but we do have plans to better support heavily cropped images in the future. It's hard to say when that might be rolled out for the public site though, everything takes time~

Someone will have to update it manually. I believe @Holo has said that we'll keep the chapters present so people can use them for tracking and commenting purposes.

@Xayamon
I do find reverse image searching super useful. Glad to have you all officially aboard!

Wait, mangabox has stopped their english service!?

@Zephyrus Not sure if I missed anything else but, Holo said "Expired links will be made unavailable (comments will still be accessible)" which means it will be just a blank chapter right? In case the official translation never get published into a book and unavailable to read anywhere else officially, shall we follow rules 2.1.1 and upload it anyway or keep it as blank chapter?

@Xamayon Looking forward to the day when I can read continuation of cropped hentai.

Suggestion ideas: Some other official free reader sites that could be linked in the future (most of these are in the original Japanese though; not sure if that'd be a thing that this site wants to do):

- SpotToon: https://www.spottoon.com (this one is in English!)
- Viz / Shounen Jump: https://www.viz.com/shonenjump
- Crunchyroll Manga: http://www.crunchyroll.com/comics/manga (ugh their reader still uses flash)
- Pixiv Comic: https://comic.pixiv.net
- Mangabox: https://www.mangabox.me (used to have an English version but it got discontinued)
- Manga-Park: https://manga-park.com
- Comic Meteor: https://comic-meteor.jp
- Gangan Online: http://www.ganganonline.com
- Comic Bunch: http://www.comicbunch.com
- Kurage Bunch: https://kuragebunch.com
@ununseti
Manga Club: https://www.manga.club/ (annoying website but good combination of free and paid manga with some obscure web manga no one will bother to translate)

Just went to The Last Saiyuki page and I'm not seeing any chapter specific redirects, just a single official link. Has the mangaplus feature not been fully implemented yet? Am I not understanding this feature right?
EDIT: Found it working on SPY x FAMILY, guess other series just have to catch up.

That is the full implementation. We're not going to display the chapters themselves in our reader.

e: Oops, I think I misunderstood your question. Yeah, if there's no "chapters" here on MangaDex yet it's just because nobody has created them yet. It's a manual process.

Between the sauce support, new servers, and being able to read SJ’s productions without the FBI police not knocking down your door...

SauceNAO support is damn nice, I love it.

MangaPlus, however... Not a big fan. Actually, I'm all against it, all it does is confuses me as a reader. At least option to filter these out would be nice.
I'm here on Mangadex following and reading what Mangadex already has, everying else - I have other sources to follow. Now I have additionally "not so chapter" chapters on some shady looking site, probably designed purely to make my browser hang itself (and it does that right).

So on MangaPlus support - nah, I'm all nay. I'd like to pass but there is not even an option to block this group for showing in notifications.

@usagiaddict We'd be the shady website in this scenario. The M+ website was developed by Shueisha, the people who publish Shonen Jump. :x It's the safest manga website you could touch.

We wouldn't make an option to disable purely official chapters, but rather it would be a natural part of our future feature of blacklisting groups you don't want to see.
