Yeah, a few people started pushing this narrative and others are hopping on it to cope. And it might be true, but if it is the author did an absolutely terrible job of actually expressing that it was in his imagination, like, there are ways to do that which are pretty standardized. So if the author did want to convey that, they sucked at it, and if it was intended to be this vague then it's just lying and manipulating your audience, which is still bad writing. Either way, terrible execution, which I'm willing to forgive, somewhat.He didn't tho. There was no implication that it was an imagination at all. Where are you getting this? Sounds pure cope really.
Still, the entire thing is weird to me, from her acceptance of it, when even by the logic of monsters seems like a weird thing for her to have done, to his Beret-like fantasy, it was all just bad and completely tonally off from everything so far. Maybe that's the intent, and this is the story and vibe the author really wants. I guess we'll find out in the next chapter or so, and either stick around or bail like I'm sure plenty of people already have.
