Most harem mangas have an unmanageable number of girls that don't usually get fully developed. Choices usually end up being based on which caricature (tsundere, kuudere, etc) and design the readers like best. A lot of the times, the girls' relationships are marked by jealousy and conflict, making it hard to see how they would get along together in a hypothetical harem end. The conflicts also pushes the readers towards picking sides, making harem ends less favored.

This manga is taking the time to fully develop just two girls and showcase how the three of them complement each other. Amane gets someone to connect with her otaku side and become less ashamed of it; Ijichi gets to learn more about her best friend and a world she's unfamiliar with; Seo is able to share his passion while learning to become more sociable. There isn't any real conflict between Amane and Ijichi over Seo, which makes the dynamic more wholesome. I think this is best exemplified in chapter 6 where they work out an equal solution to the double date rather than fighting over it. The expectation was set very early on that the three together would make a wholesome throuple.

Not only they're not in conflict over him, they were already inseparable best friends before befriending him and keep being besties all the time so far. Not-poly ending would only serve to break those two girls up in a way, which would be just sad.
