If the general is confused as to why the human is fighting the orcs when they view each other as food, that's stupid.

If the general is confused because this particular child is fighting his entire tribe to the death instead of just leaving, that's legit.

I think he's aware that if he was in Aria's place he'd have been gone yesterday, and her willingness to go all-in for a battle where she's obviously outmatched (though not outplayed) is bewildering to him.

Unfortunately, Aira will kill anyone and everyone to achieve her goals and to stay alive, so simply appealing to some shared sapient sense of "why do you seek to harm us" isn't likely to stop her. It does make everything more interesting, but...they're still after the humans, so without a very compelling reason that would directly & greatly benefit Aria, I don't think this changes much in any practical sense.

It does, however, make for a good shock to the reader's system, to remind us in the midst of all the Cute Girl Does Cool Action Moves that Aria is in the process of exterminating dozens of sapient beings, and the weight that carries.

This is actually interesting part of the story. We get to see how long she can hold out against an army stronger than a regular human army.

I guess those guilds that were hunting her down didn't efficiently threw enough bodies against her.

It would be honestly pretty fucking funny if the orcs never intended to attack humans.

I went to check the previous chapters and there was never a scene of the orcs attacking, she was just told there was an orc raid.

So, I know that spending all this time weakening the enemy forces played a significant part...

But... Like... The bit of "I'm out of time, can't delay their advance anymore" loses all of its impact when she then makes "delaying their advance" moot by killing them all by herself anyway

I'm going to stall them for a month to allow for the evacuation! Wait, no, I should just make the evacuation unnecessary. If she can do that, what was all the tension for?!

The idea was to ->delay the attack on the village<- to allow it evacuate, and the plan was to weaken the orks to death and get some xp points, that plan failed when:

1) The orks moved to attack before the evacuation finished

2) The orks where still strong enough to fight

that's why she's out of time

combine that with the fact that La Creatura is still technically the Saintes of an otome game, add her recklessnes and maybe exhaustion, then you get why or MC goes berserk.
