Cara was associated with the bully from the very start. The bully(i seriously forgot her name) knew that there are gonna be skypirates that can take care of bartford, she didn't anticipate that bartford would be able to defeat them. The bully's plan was for them to be captured by the pirates and not reach Cara's territory. Cara is now in trouble because they reached their destination which isnt really in danger. You can just go back a couple of chapters if you still dont understand what's going on

@SirArez The novel is currently on Volume 6 in Japan, if I remember. The novel now has an official english translation, but the company is going to be SUPER slow about releasing it. Volume 2 won't be put out till sometime in 2021.

@Lightbrand Pigtail-Loop Bitch used her Earl authority to force dumbass Baronet Carla to request Olivia to introduce her to the MC, intending to trick the MC into a trap set up by Pigtail-Loop Bitch with a group of Sky Pirates her family works with. Sky Pirates were ordered to capture the MC's ship and enslave/kill all of the crew (Carla thought she would be exempt due to PT-Bitch lying to her). The PT-Bitch underestimated the strength/skills of the MC and his Deus Ex Machina, and only sent what seems to be the Sky Pirates B and C Teams to do the job.

Now that everything is done, Carla realizes that since the plan failed her family is on the hook for the reward for the Sky Pirates, since PT-Bitch's involvement was supposed to be secret. However he family never actually needed the help, so she's trying to push the blame on Olivia, but the MC isn't having that shit and pretty much threatened to loot Carla's family and territory for the reward if they can't scrape it up, since 3 higher ranked nobles showed up for the job.

Just started and caught up with this series, I gotta say it's much better than I expected. While I never liked isekai harems with overpowered MCs, this does a great job giving the main characters actual personalities with depth - both the girls and the other guys. Also since the world is more governed by politics than violence, MC's OPness oftentimes works to his disadvantage. He's also a decent guy underneath the heel persona, it always bothered me how easily some MCs killed people. Finally, him not seeing the girls as possible romantic partners also gives their interactions a real genuineness, since the story doesn't treat them as objects to be seduced.

Another praise I have to give is that bad situations aren't solved instantly; things like Ange's treatment of commoners and Olivia's subsequent depression is taking multiple chapters of personal reflection to address - and even then they haven't been able to make up yet. It makes the problems feel like real problems.

I haven't read the source material, but moving forward I'd like him to continue being a mentor/catalyst for the other characters to grow, maybe even taking a backseat role to do so. Also despite his sister being a bit of a jerk, I think they genuinely cared about each other in their previous life and I hope we get to see them interact with each other more often. I could see them having a really fun comedic rivalry.

Edit: Also I don't think the queen is actually romantically interested in him lol, just that she has a soft spot for him now. Still funny tho
