For me his hesitance isn’t that annoying, dude just went out of prison and has social anxiety, what irks me is how the story seems to be leaning into yet another misunderstanding plot now, on top of the one he found in her journal. Obviously she’s not evil, she probably has a non-fiendish reason to hurt the other girl (my bet is she must’ve talked shit about her, or the guy or the mom, so she lost her composure and hit her, probably deservedly so), it’s boring and the author isn’t fooling anyone. I was imvested in him developing his relationship as siblings with the girl, not more unnecessary drama."I can't ask her. I have a feeling if I ask her something will end"
Just ask her ffs. This MC is so annoying. Then some girl shows up, calls Shiika a fiend, how about she elaborates on that? Nope, sudden interruption. Shortly after, "I want to talk to her properly". Where did the "something will end" attitude go? Does he want to talk to Shiika or not? I swear the author of this manga must be some depressed woman going through a midlife crisis.
