I don't want Cross turning into something similar like that protag in Tsuki ga Michibiku where even if the girls tell it to his face that they love him or practically giftwrap themselves in lingerie, he'd likely still think it was a prank or something

To be fair, a Hero is meant to come out on top, no matter the odds. After all, beating dragons, the undead, mages, and thieves, it's all part of the job description.

Even if he is male, he could still become a Cross-fanatic like the noble boy. But I would say the chances are slim, unless the vitality drained people and skulls in the throneroom are just a red herring.
