Good thing Rio's husband comes included with the cuck chair.
Fuck beat me to it. BSS'd out of the cuck chair reference.

Easy come, easy go
He knows Rei is a mamas boy who can't operate a microwave. My other guess would be with Mahoro's help, he will have Rio dead to rights. As the breadwinner (my guess is Rio's cafe is more of a hobby than a real income) and the aggrieved party, he would be able to terminate the marriage at any time and leave Rio absolutely wrecked financially.

Turning the the cuckchair into a throne.
edit: Its unlikely we'll see that on-panel though. That's more plot than "Husband asshoe, Ditch him after being wronged in every way for max moral superiority, rebounded hotter Manic-pixie dream boy" housewife fantasy will handle.

She should get her husband back (tied up in a basement tho) & Rio's husband too!
Then t-bag Rio, with the condoms tied to her panties, hentai style.
And Momoka's brother too!
Reverse harem it is!
Why stop there? Momoka in the harem too.

Feel like Rios husband has reasons to know divorce laws more than just happen to have studied them for law purposes. Feel like he's hiding something due to that pause panel. But regardless, whether truthful or liar, he's much smoother than Rei in convos.

I'm guessing the "flirt with Rei" plan is to drum up jealousy with Rio so that she will want to pull a "You think you're hot shit Mahoro? Just you wait bitch." Type of move.

But man Rio has got to be one massive bitch if she truly put that note on Mahoros door. Actually more diabolical than Kyouka.

Off topic but....do women really engage in these type of....idk what to call it.....displays of dominance over their peers in a romantic sense? Like this seems so extra. Putting so much risk just to be a vindictive bitch in romance? Cheating is one thing, but the extra mile to give Mahoro a lead on it to start everything off? Like why? If you didnt do that you probably would've been in the clear
Yes, they can do even worse.

"But man Rio has got to be one massive bitch if she truly put that note on Mahoros door. Actually more diabolical than Kyouka."
She was the one who proposed the plan to Kyouka. When Kyouka said that she was falling for Rei, she showed that account and said mahoro maybe will divorce Rei if she find about a affair. If she is the owner of that account, the whole situation is more cruel, when Kyouka seek her help to figure out what she she suppoed to do, Rui just braged of her affair with Rei showing that account

Maybe he also have a affair and this is the reason want forgive her, the owner of that account can be his lover or maybe this isn't her first affair.

Ps: sorry of my poor english

this took a turn I wasn’t expecting… rio’s husband seems nonchalant

not saying it's an excuse but sometimes that attitude can cause cheating? like "i don't feel like he cares enough/want him to be jealous so i cheated"

This is getting hard to read. It's almost impossible for everyone to be this comically evil and out to get mahoro. I don't trust a soul in this story including mahoro. literally everyone is suspected to have an agenda

makes me wonder if there's similar stories like these but taking places in other culture, like the UK/Europe/etc

I guess you study a bit of everything but i imagine most law students might not focus on divorce law specifically versus going to court to defend criminals or so tho 'civil' law might be better with phoenix wright and ppl saying that criminals get like a 90% conviction or whatever, thought they just ran a cafe together, but tons of ppl joke "make sure to sign a prenup" and stuff like that, so i'd expect a handful of ppl to do research before rushing into getting married, kids aside
