@Kaarme was getting at, he obviously knows (well, hopefully) that middle age china and medieval europe look different, I think he was just responding to chenando's comment of "well obviously from the buildings looking chinese, there's a plot link to china". In fantasy stories there are multitudes of settings (even in isekai) which have their architecture modeled after medieval europe, and many times it's just taken for granted, and it doesn't have a greater meaning beyond just "the author wanted to use medieval architecture in their story".
So he was just saying "just like how medieval architecture shows up in other worlds and isn't necessarily plot-connected to earth and europe, chinese architecture showing up doesn't necessarily mean that it's due to a plot connection to chinese otherworlders", since chinese architecture showing up could just be the author deciding they want a token eastern country to pop up next to their european setting. That kind of thing's been done for ages, especially in RPGs.
